[vpFREE] RE: Boyd Sunday Multipliers

Confusing  - as usual for Boyd.  This information below is for the general public.  If you get a local mailer, you might find extra multiplier days just for those who get those mailers.  For example, our April monthly Gold Coast mailer DOES have the 11x/6x for Sundays.

RE: [vpFREE] Scot Krause's Reel Deals - 10 APR 2018

Boyd issued a correction today. Only Sam's will have the 11/6 on Sundays this month.

From Boyd: Please find the following corrected information (which removes the reference to the offer being available at The Orleans, Gold Coast, California, Fremont and Main Street Station):

B Connected members at Sam's Town can earn even more points with Sunday Point Multipliers. On Sundays, April 8, 15, 22 and 29, players can earn 11x points on reels and 6x points on video poker. See B Connected for complete details.

Re: [vpFREE] re: Discount air fare

If you're looking for deals on Car Rentals-Costco, AARP and AAA are good places to start.
Once you've got a price on any of those--try dollar . com--City Deals--especially for Vegas.
And last, but not least -- try:  https://www.autoslash.com/
Yes--you have to fill in the car information and they'll get back to you, but they don't
bug you and don't send additional emails.  I've gotten the best prices thru them lately.
AND--again, depending on how far ahead you're booking.  Re-check prices weekly
to make sure you can't get a better deal.

Re: [vpFREE] re: Discount air fare

Unless you live in a major metropolitan area--Ie Chicago--most cities only have one or two airlines
that service them--get to know them and then check their flight schedules often (sometimes fares can
change up to 6 or more times in a day!) and get to know the fares.  When you do this, you'll be able
to spot a REALLY good deal if one comes along.  Spirit and Frontier are fine--just know that you have
to add about +$50 to each fare if you want to check a bag and/or reserve a seat -- as a rule of thumb.
In addition to the one or two airlines web sites--I also check Google Flights --  https://www.google.com/flights.
There are a ton of intricacies involved with Google Flights and the more you know the more you can get
out of it -- but you can also go in and navigate it easily as a first time user.  I don't find many promo codes
any more and if I do--they usually don't work for my dates.  I do find that the airlines that offer a "calendar"
of their airfares makes it handy if you're just looking for a future date to travel. DO be aware that major events
can influence Las Vegas airfares--NY Eve, Super Bowl, and March Madness are obvious.  But events like Electric
Daisy Festival, CES, Magic Marketplace, Chinese New Year, President's Day weekend can and do affect
airfares and hotel rates/occupancy.  Handy resource for conventions:   http://www.lvol.com/conventions/index.html
These are just some of the things you have to be aware of and you're right-- it can be a lot of work--but the more
you know the easier it gets to cut thru and find the best deals.  Also, generally if you're looking 6 months or more out
you're going to pay a higher fare.  WHEN is the best time to book?  When it's the cheapest--and that CAN be anytime
but I generally think in 3's:  3 months, 3-4 weeks, and 3 days (under a week).  Anything under 2 weeks is usually going
to be more expensive BUT some of these airlines like AA and UA will post their cheap/Basic Economy fares just a few
days out--these have rules like Spirit's fares.  Another good source for those looking for good deals is from Clark Howard--
https://clark.com/travel/travel-booking-and-planning-guide/     While it doesn't give you specific information--it offers a
multitude of ways to educate yourself.  Good Luck and have fun!

I agree that it's a lot of work to get deals on airline tickets. I try to stick with one airline, join their loyalty club and pay attention to their sales. Also most airlines issue credit cards that earn you miles.

From: whitejeeps@yahoo.com

When I see PROMO CODE of flight search, I wonder.. What seems to work best for folks in our group?

I belong to 0 promo groups or deals. I usually book on my own. It takes lots of time to find decent deals.

What's been working for U? I've heard some suggestions.

AARP, COSTCO, AAA auto club, $9 fare Club Spirit Air,, Frontier has something similar to Spirt, Some say there are credit card promos?

P. S. I belong to Spirit $9 Fare Club......It's way more expensive than nine bucks. They get U on renewal automatic, if U don't fly frequently. Have to watch rules.

You all have a nice weekend.......Jeep
