The $5 NSUD have been moved to new section past the poker room. There are 6
up rights probably 40 feet from poker room and one row from right wall.

Right you are Mickey. Don't have to be in a team, though I recommend at least one partner.
If you drop by Tahoe could you say hi to Mark Bartholomew at Harvey's. And tell him new contact info.

Nice way to sneak in a book plug.
Your beef should be with those trying to sell the book, not Amazon.
You are also assuming that someone is actually buying the book at the inflated price. Why not add your own listing and undercut the other sellers?
Take Care,

[vpFREE] Re: Freemont Accommodations
Rooms at the Fremont remind me of typical European rooms. They are very small and basic (240sq. ft. compared to the 350-450 found at most Strip properties). The bathroom is a bit cramped and you may find that you have a little negotiating to do in order to close the bathroom door.
It may be a bit of an adjustment if you are accustomed to suites (technically 600sq. ft. or larger).
Aside from that it is fine. The casino and staff are pleasant.
It is a good location if you want to be downtown. I like their buffet and Tony Roma's for the price.

[vpFREE] Re: Freemont Accommodations
My wife and I are headed for the Fremont (from Texas) this next week for our standard four night stay. We have been doing this four or five times a year for the past 15 years or so. Obviously we're very satisfied or else we'd move. The rooms are small but always very clean and the hotel staff very friendly. We especially enjoy the casino with the B-connected card good at the Fremont, Cal, and MSS as well as other Boyd properties. We have always had good food at the Paradise Buffet - - especially the made-to-order omelets at breakfast. The Fremont is extremely well located if you want to switch casinos. Granted, we do not spend a lot of time in our room but would recommend it without hesitation. Enjoy. captjack47

RE: [vpFREE] Amazon sucks by Frank Kneeland
Ah, Guess I have to break the news... Independent book sellers have new 2011 ACG books on sale at Amazon for less than $12.00....repeat new, i.e all coupons intact. So where do those other rediculous prices come from that Frank was talking about...there is always some jerk putting stuff up on Amazon at ridiculous prices, which is their right. It's called free enterprise. Reminds me of the guy selling a copy of Three card poker, by Stanley Ho, for $300, some time back. Yup- ridiculous!!

[vpFREE] Re: Bob Dancer's LV Advisor Column - 22 FEB 2011
Thank you for your response. I do love your show and I doubt I will ever miss an episode.
I am certainly not asking that you reveal any "error" locations.
As someone who has been playing VP profitably for 25 years and is very much up to date on "The Grapevine" in both LV and Reno, I think I can comfortably say that the kind of edges on progressives that you look for (over 3%) simply no longer exist in any major casino in Reno or LV.
By "major" I will include
1. The Strip
2. Downtown
3. The "major" off strip places like Sam's Town, M, Cannery, Stations, SP, Silverton, Palms, etc.
4. Reno-Atlantis/Peppermill, Downtown, Ascagua's, Grand Sierra, South Lake Tahoe.
Therefore, my conclusion is that any such machines must be at:
1. Way out of the way locations like Mesquite, Winnemucca, Wendover, Jackpot, etc.
2. Bars
3. 7/11's and the like.
4. Out of state.
As for myself, I play the FPDW progressive at the Palms and a bunch of scattered 10/7 progressives. But the meters are anemically low and I don't think such machines will ever hit 103%-at least at any casino I define as "major" above.
Look forward to next weeks show. One question I would love to have asked is "How many times do you physically go into VP machines in Las Vegas every year and make sure they're not gaffed".
Yes, I am paranoid and yes I remember the LATE Larry Volk.
My daddy always taught me "where there is money there is cheating".

[vpFREE] Casino cruises
I have a question about Casino promotions that offer free cruises.
Last year, Terrible's offered a free cruise for two to players who earned 250K points ($250K coin in). I have not heard if they are offering this again this year. Circus Circus is offering a free cruise for two and $600 free play (airfare reimbursement) to players who earn 45K points ($450K coin in) by June 30, 2011. Depending on how much you value the cruise, this can add 0.3 to 0.4% value to your gambling.
My question is does anyone else know of any other casinos offering free cruises and how much play is required to get them. Thanks.
