Re: [vpFREE] Re: Sahara closing

That all helps but unemployment doesn't cover all your expenses or provide medical insurance.

That's not really a problem anymore in the US of A. There is extended unemployement, special refies for your underwater mortaged home, welfare, etc. Funded by the few left with jobs and the US printing press.

[vpFREE] Re: Were the Suncoast 86'ers

Were the people 86'd also told that they were not allowed to enter or play at any other Boyd properties?

[vpFREE] Re: XVP -- transportation from Las Vegas to Henderson

I haven't used these myself but there are Las Vegas transportation companies that specialize in shuttles from casino hotels to golf courses. Here's one: http://www.lasvegasgolfcourses.com/transportation.htm

Re: [vpFREE] Were the Suncoast 86'ers

After I was 86ed from the Suncoast, I inserted my card at another Coast property and, since my points were still on my account, I didn't worry about it. Then, after I was 86ed from Jerry's Nugget, I called Jerry's Nugget to ask if I could get my cash back. After first telling me that accounts of those who are 86ed get deleted, leading me to talk to someone higher up, I was mailed my cash back, to the penny, which I thought was very generous, since I doubt they would have given me the extra 7 cents if I had cashed it out under normal circumstances. There must be an effective law that forces them to do this, since it's not the first time that I've collected cash back after being 86ed. I still haven't even tried to collect my cash back from Coast. The value of comps is a more gray area.

Mike, I meant clout with the machine manufacturers, not the casinos. In other words, convince IGT and Ballys to convince the casinos.

This is sad. A real part of Old Vegas. I hope they can mothball the place and reopen if the economy comes back.

It's 2011 and Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin aren't walking through that door. The North end of Las Vegas Blvd is dead. The only reason the IP still exists is it's too difficult to demolish.

I don't know what "clout" is needed. They can add as well as us. They can tell that an 8-5 JOB machine with a 2.5% meter will make them money every minute.
They just don't want people "making money" on their machines by "outsmarting" them. It's as simple as that. That's why the Piggy Ban type games are gone-they did nothing but make money for the casino too.

Would the casinos listen to them? Could someone who has clout with the manufacturers like Bally and IGT, etc., convince them to convince the casinos?

Archiecoons! You're an old vpFREE hand, right? Let's see! You signed onto vpFREE way back on March the 8th of this year. Then you made the above post on March 9th. Wow! No vpFREE posts made about putting anything over on the boothlings in that time span. You must have searched the archives for the full 24 hours that you were a member here. Trouble is, Archie, I've been on this site for 6 or 7 years now....and I don't recall any posts about putting something over on the boothlings. Could you cite the posts. Like, give us the numbers to these posts so we can search the archives and read them.

What's up with your disapearing act, Archiecoons. C'mon back, buddy. We're just starting to have some fun.
