These days playing any machine over a dollar denomination on a multiplier day is likely to get you 86'd. It makes no sense, but the casinos make the rules and that is apparently one of their rules. Some casinos even 86 dollar machine players. You quarter players look out, you're next on the radar. The casinos really want everyone to play the penny and nickel machines because they have the highest holds percentage wise. Of course that's why you see casinos going under, very few casinos can pay the "resort" overhead on the win from penny and nickel machines. This is just more good news for the low overhead casino concessions, like the airport, Dotty's, gas stations, sportsbars, internet poker, etc.

They could just cut off the slot club benefits of anyone whose play they didn't like. But they take the heavy handed approach and actually have security guards read the trespass act (as a first contact) and escort them off the premises.
When they do this, they also lose that person's business in the movie theater, the restaurants, the sports book, any other gambling, etc. And, of course, the business of anyone they might have brought along.
Morons.
