[vpFREE] Re: NOLA 7 Stars Cruise Trip Report

Thanks for the trip report, we felt similar to Tom and Heddy, the NOL Signature cruise was as well done as CET can ever do when handling a group of 500 7 stars on one trip. We have done a lot of CET group cruises out of NOL and the departure and return to Harrah's NOL from the cruise port was the smoothest this time. They had 15 reps on the cruise to accompany the group. They did a good job the first and last days making themselves available and pretty much took the time in between to enjoy themselves, so it was a win win. Most worked in their back office ops but there were a few hosts.

We incredibly broke even gambling on our two week trip (Las Vegas for the GGWU, then Harrah's NOL pre-cruise, the cruise, and two days post-cruise Harrah's NOL. We hit enough big hits to in each venue to offset the losses. It was nice that between CET and the cruise line, literally everything was covered including taxes, tips, specialty dinners every night, etc. The casino even hosted us and 4 other couples for the NCL exclusive "Chef's Table" dinner one night. Harrah's NOL had hourly gift card drawings on Sunday of the return and we and our friends won multiple gift cards, while witnessing a lady hit a cool $10K by drawing 4 deuces next to us on a 10 play machine.

There were a couple of times where they dropped the ball big time, but that is to be expected when you have such a large group and CET rep's where most were pretty young, nice but had no management experience. Harrah's NOL also cancelled out our returning hotel reservation, this despite it being booked 6 months ago, being in our list of future reservations and us pre-registering for it before we left on the cruise. I wasn't worried about getting a room since it was a Sunday night so we played all day (and night) long and finally got a small room with twin beds (at least they didn't make us sleep in bunk beds), after forcing the issue. The NOL diamond lounge is also pretty worthless, we were never able to get it (before or after). It's small, food is to order so people take twice as long taking up the tables, and there is no priority for 7 Star so local diamond non-players sit there most of the evening taking up the tables.
