I stopped reading about Boyd's new club because I'm not in Vegas anyway.  But at the time I remember thinking it might be wise to fine some good keno paytables that return 95%.  There's plenty of them around where I live.  I don't know what Boyd has to offer.  Might be worth a look.

What 10-cent vp were you playing, if I may ask?

[vpFREE] Boyd tiger points

 

Maybe I missed something in the initial discussions of the new tier point system. It seemed to me that people were talking about enormous numbers of points to get tier points and higher status levels if you played VP. Therefore I had been staying away from VP at Gold Coast. I saw $5 coin in gave 1 tier point at slots, not insurmountable if I wanted to get a 10 tier point gift. Today I decided to play some Ten cent video poker, And when I finished I found that $10 in gave 1 tier point (I am Sapphire). Now it does take a lot to get Emerald level – – 150,000 points times $10, About as much as it takes to get diamond status at Caesars — Still for getting gifts and a mailer at Sapphire it isn't too bad.

Sorry, I'm not aware of any special "deals" for Annual Retreats -- other than you can get 50,000 Reward Credits added to your account in lieu of the trip.

The rules used to state that the retreat had to be taken outside one's "home" casino, but that doesn't seem to be the case, according to a cursory reading of the 2018 Rules &  Regulations.

Obviously, someone living in Las Vegas is not going to have $1,200 in transportation expenses.  Same with someone who lives in Philadelphia and uses the retreat for an Atlantic City stay.

Perhaps these additional benefits Jean is being offered is a concession to that, but they should not be limited to Jean [or any specific individual(s)] or someone living in Las Vegas.

Barona used to have multipliers up to 12X (1.2% CB) and machines on turbo with extremely accurate Autohold. Don't play 1000 hands an hour of NSUD while wearing iPod headphones. Order beers and shots. You don't have to drink them., play some Double Double Bonus or other square games etc. Push the change button and get someone to come interact with you and see that you're playing a square game. Then switch over to NSUD and occasionally switch back to DDB or whatever. Look like a square.
