Probably not – we're busy getting ready to visit our family over the holidays.

I would love to meet you. You come across on this site as being very informed and very nice. I will not be in LV until January so we will miss you. Good luck with your play.

[vpFREE] Meeting up at Caesars Palace This Weekend

I imagine many of you will be town December 4-8, using your shopping points at the Great Gift Wrap Up at Caesars Palace.  Brad and I will be there on Saturday and Sunday, the 7th and 8th.  We will likely be playing in the early afternoons in one of the High Limit areas so stop and say "Hi" if you spot us.   I'll be the one with the antlers!   We are always glad to take a short break from the machine and chat with other frugalities.

RE: [vpFREE] Gold Coast - Young at Heart promotion

I posted it to my listings.  I also think Boyd is planning some "surprise" point days over Xmas and NYE.

Sorry I didn't answer sooner – I had a long busy day yesterday.  I really don't know the hours there since we never play early or late anyway.

My GC mailer has the following, but I don't know if it is for everyone but I think it is:  Every Sunday – 3x for Ruby, 4x for Sapphire, 5x for Emerald; Dec. 25 – 10x/6x.  No info on time limitations.

[vpFREE] XVP P J Clarkes

It has closed. When in LV I loved to go there for their $1 oyster happy hrs. Oysters as good as the Acme in the Big Easy. LVA always had this deal on their ten best Vegas Values.
Interesting note: Clarkes has been a NYC institution for over a hundred yrs. Some places just don't do well in other cities. Also bad location in the Forum mall and competition from other NYC eateries e.g, Carmines and The Palms.

Re: [vpFREE] RE: XVP -- FSN gas card

In this area of Pennsylvania (Lancaster) you would have to save at least 20 cents per gallon to bring the high cost of Shell gasoline closer to the price at almost every other station.  There are also very few Shell stations (due to non competitive price) in the area.

I agree.  It's really no trouble at all.  Just sign up for it, wait for the card in mail and go to the website to activate it.  Then when you get gas, just  place it in the pump prior to putting in your credit card.  No pain really at all.  The awards are not valid in NJ, but I used it when I was in Vegas and refilled my rental car before returning it for about $2.50 per gallon.  Probably saving about $20.  Used it in Cinci too as well as in Pennsy.  Spent a total of maybe ten minutes getting it setup initially and have saved about $50 already.  I'm really not sure why so many think it's a hassle.  And trust me, I don't even have the patience to use match play coupons.

There was some discussion recently about the Fuel Savings Network and whether play at Harrah's was worth much in this program. FSN is not just for Harrah's. Many companies are participating in this program.

Yesterday we filled up in Michigan for $1.65 a gallon using the FSN credit of $1.55 a gallon. This saved us about $29 on the fill up. Some of the credit is from Harrah's and some is from other sources.

It is a little bit of trouble but to me, the savings are worth it.
