[vpFREE] Re: Good Times Rollin' in NOLA
FWIW, just to tie things together ...
The Asian woman is Korean. She and I had a pleasant chat on and off during my initial 6 hours session on the adjacent Jacks this morning. (She goes by "D" -- actual first name starts with the letters "HY".)
Just stopped by after a dinner at Besh. Meter is a hair shy of $6K. I gather she has near to that, or more, in markers out today alone.
Given a meter advance of about .1%, from anecdotal observation, it's my guess that Harrah's easily sees a 2% hold on her play. 3%+ is much more likely the case. ($100+/hr is a no-brainer)

[vpFREE] nola capping
*i passed on the concerns about capping during the 7* event in nola, and
here is my host's response:
"I escalated your question to management and they advised that they will
cease the capping privileges during the event."

You have to click the "Like" button, at which point you should see a form
asking for your name, player number, birthday, and email address, all of
which supposedly have to match your info on file to receive the 5000 tier
points.

[vpFREE] Re: NOLA couple
That couple has been monopolizing the progressives for at least the 4 years I've been going to NOLA. Even at times when half the machines are locked down...for more than 8 hours at a time. Just one of the reasons that I recently stopped visiting there.

[vpFREE] Tonight's Gambling with an Edge
Munchkin's and my guest tonight is Vinnie DeCarlo, whose book is called "How to beat Casino Surveillance." Although the book is specifically addressed to blackjack players, I'm going to be asking Vinnie some questions about video poker surveillance --- such as, 1. If I accidentally leave $300 on a machine when I leave, and somebody else sees it and cashes it out, will most casinos assist me in retrieving my money? 2. Since video poker machines are largely self contained in that they accept money, allow the game to be played, pay out wins, what type of surveillance, if any, is done on these machines? 3. In most casinos, is every machine under surveillance? Most machines? Some machines? As time permits, we're going to be continuing our discussion of travelling with money. Tonight we're specifically going to address issues with carrying money as you're traveling across the country by automobile. Tune in at 7-8 p.m. PDT on 1230AM in Las Vegas or on www.KLAS1230am.com from anywhere. The show will be archived tomorrow on www.bobdancer.com Bob

Even better at Main St Stn - 10/7 DB on the floor and microbrews.
You don't have to play at a bar to get microbrews.

Brings to mind the ranch mid century modern homes in Vegas, located west of Maryland. These "lovely" homes were going for $400K+ at market high, now more like $40K
