Okay, so when you find your book on eBay, are you going to tell people not to use eBay, too?
If you want to be in the book business, you'd better make sure your book is for sale on Amazon. You can be a self-published author selling books via print on demand and have them for sale on Amazon. You don't have to pay a printing company print a thousand copies of your book then store them in your garage... print on demand allows you to make your book available and it doesn't get printeduntil somebody orders it. Cost out of pocket? Zero.

Re: [vpFREE] WMS (Williams) Money Fever and its variants
Those are still around in lottery markets, such as Oregon. The player is
placing a wager for every hand in the fever mode. Hope this helps.

RE: [vpFREE] Re: WMS (Williams) Money Fever and its variants
The latter game used to be kings (or aces) as a high pair. (The new jacks+
versions only push on 2 small pair and are poor return games.) Frugal VP
contains a few versions of this in the base games. Not shown were the
versions that used to exist in the Chicago Area. (But can be handled by
Frugal VP) The Kings or better game with 7 (actually 12 or 13) for the full
house was 99.52% if the SF paid 50 (actually 59) and 100.24% if the SF paid
100 (actually 109). Both of these were available in the Chicago Area and
they also contained a 100.4+% BJ game.
Note: "Money Fever's" name was changed to "Bonus Flush" on later versions of
the game and in non-bonus mode had the largest % of losing hands of any vp
game (78%+) since it was a two pair game and you held all 3 flushes over a
pair and never redrew as you would hold a 2 flush with 5 odd cards.
Also early versions of these WMs games apparently had an "Easter egg" that
allowed cheating on the double up feature.

Hi linus. I do recall seeing this game many years ago, but sorry I don't
remember the specifics of your question. Another game I remember from this
same console was a jacks or better type game with (at first glance) a bad
pay table, but the player got paid for *all* winning combinations in a hand.
In other words, with a full house you would also get paid for 3 of a kind, 2
pair, and possibly hi pair. I always wondered about the actual return of
this game.
I have fond memories from playing those old WMS multi-game machines, but
mainly from a different (non-VP) game that was available on many of these
machines.

[vpFREE] new Caesars (Harrah's)7* benefits
I had to laugh as once again Caesar's (formerly called Harrah's - I'm
having trouble remember to say Caesars) spent a lot of money on printing up an
overdone booklet announcing its new 7 Star benefits for 2011. They could
have sent me a coupon for $100 in free play and a sheet or two of regular
paper and I would have been more impressed.
Also had to laugh as they promoted some changes they seemed to think were
beneficial - such as CUTTING down the usual yearly gift selection of over
20 items, to just 4. This time "the very best." Yep, a selection of 4 is
always better than a selection of 20 choices! What if I don't need any of
them - and I don't - I already have a blue-ray player and an Ipad, and a
digital camera, so that eliminates the need for any of the 4 new items:
blu-ray player, Ipod Nano 8 bg, Nikon Coolpix s3100 camera, and Kindle. Yet
again some more gifts to give away to relatives -- that doesn't really make
ME happy.
They've also cut back on the selection of the new "Signature Experiences"
for various levels of play over 125,000 base points. Most don't include
airfare. One of the nicest Level I looked to be Tunica, which included $1500
airfare, but also a Memphis Grizzlies basketball game - unfortunately
neither my husband nor I are sports fans. Couldn't they include any sort of
replacement option for non-sports fans such as spa or food credits? Many of
them are once again date-dependant, such as New Orleans Jazz Festival or
Tahoe 4th of July. So if you don't make a Level until the last half of the
year, too bad, you've missed that event. Also no Experiences for Biloxi --
and we loved the great Signature II we had there (6 hours of spa treatments
for a couple) -- we loved it so much that when both my husband and I got
over 200,000 points, we both did it (2 separate trips). But woops - no
incentive for me this year.
Someone asked me if these are additions to the list of last year's
experiences, but no, they seem to be replacements. They are heavy on sports and
golf oriented adventures - obviously marketing isn't realizing how many 7*
members are women or men who have wives who don't golf, and how many 7*
people are over age 50 and might prefer a spa or show oriented Experience, but
then again, whoever said that Caesars had a smart marketing department --
not me!
As you hit the various levels you can take additional Experiences, so if
you hit 125,000 base you qualify for Level I, then hit 200,000, you qualify
for Level I and Level II and can do both. And so on.
One slight improvement in offerings - 7* members now get a mostly free
cruise (you pay taxes, fees, and gratutites) on Norwegian Epic in balcony for
the Caribbean, and oceanview on other sailings to Alaska, bermuda, and
Bahamas. Call direct to 1877-742-9521 to book. Presumably cruise must be
taken between March 31 2011 and March 31 2012.
Other 7* goodies include a $500 dinner once a year, a trip to any Caesar's
property (includes $500 folio credit and up to $1200 in coach airfare for
up to 2 people), complimentary rooms, and a companion card (a 7* companion
card to get 1 special friend or relative have access to Diamond Lounges and
such).
This year there will be 3 "Seven Star Signature Events" -- June in Atlantic
City, August in Lake Tahoe, October in New Orleans. No details given, no
specific dates. Go to _www.SignatureEvents2011.com_
(http://www.SignatureEvents2011.com) for more information (if any).
Too bad they didn't announce the dates - June is probably out for me, since
we are going to Europe (mostly Switzerland) and a Greek Island cruise (one
of those NCL mostly-free cruises) around then. Some people weren't too
happy with the declining value of last year's Signature Events, so we will
have to see if they do anything to improve them this year, such as including
7X points and free airfare or other similar benefits which made some of the
earlier Signatures worth attending.
If you are 7* member for 2011 (starting March 31) and haven't received this
booklet, contact your host to make sure your membership is effective.

[vpFREE] Re: OFF TOPIC of VP, moving to LV, need advice
I'm a little late to the party, but I live in Aliante, down the street from Sun City Aliante, and it's a wonderful community. Plus, there are places to board your horses everywhere up here - lots of ranches just to the north and west of this area, just minutes away in some cases. Sun City Aliante is right by the Aliante Station casino and just down the street from several parks and the local library. While I'm not a realtor, if you have any questions on the neighborhood, I'm happy to help any way that I can.

Re: [vpFREE] Re: New hand pays at Harrah's AC
Yeah, I'll give you that one...RAMA is a real casino, my little OLG casino
(Thunder Bay) has got 400(!!!) machines and 4 tables...seems smaller than
Terrible's Las Vegas, as I recall...again, your mileage will vary--looks
like Rama's VP is about 2 percent better than anything we get here, which is
why I'm saving my VP bankroll for Vegas (one last bit--when you do get one
of those HUGE handpays of $150, the attendants always count it out, and
their last bill is always a 5$--wishful thinking if anyone tips that much)

[vpFREE] Re: New hand pays at Harrah's AC
Good news for coach Vee and Harrah's AC players that hit hand pays of $1000 - $1199.99! There is nothing at Harrah's AC
to play (for posiitive EV) so your loss rate per hour is less. Do not make the mistake however to tip as such behavior
just increases your loss rate and your expectancy might be less than what it used to be.

I wasn't even think about illegals. My point is, that as a middle-aged man, I have a reference point where I can remember when things were better, and I felt safer. Compared to what things used to be like, I think it's fair to say the country is unraveling, relatively speaking. Is there still hope? Of course there's hope. But back to the story at hand, there is something very wrong with this picture when this woman and her husband and dogs and horses are being attacked, on their own ranch, in the United States of America, and no one is doing anything about it. And that's just one issue. When you look at the whole picture, the financial picture, etc., and add it all up, I'm just saying it's difficult not to feel a sense of doom. Trust me, I'd rather be playing video poker, without a care in the world.
