I just use the built in IOS Notes to keep a gambling log.
It is automagically synchronized and backed up over WiFi
when I get home and can serve as proof that I maintain a
contemporaneous log of my gambling activities. I don't
mind having to re-enter the daily results into a spreadsheet.
As for spreadsheet format, I just a chronological ledger
format. Any summaries or analysis is done using the
spreadsheet's database type functions against this ledger.
The columns I use are: date,casino,game/activity,result,
action,W-2G and notes.
I don't use a spreadsheet on my iPhone because I want
date and time stamped files to show that the log is kept
daily. Also given the small screen size, the very simple
format of a short textual note seems easiest.
