Re: [vpFREE] Tourist things to do? In Vegas or reasonable driving distance?

My son's family enjoyed Valley of Fire.  They didn't plan to go there, but there was a problem on the highway and they diverted everyone.  Said it was a beautiful place and would like to back and see more.  I believe it was about 30 miles from Las Vegas.

RE: [vpFREE] Tourist things to do? In Vegas or reasonable driving distance?

We once did a full day trip to Death Valley and it was great.

If you are interested in birds, the Henderson Bird Sanctuary (http://www.cityofhenderson.com/henderson-happenings/facilities/henderson-bird-viewing-preserve) is a great place to visit.  The area is the output of the sewage treatment facility. There is no odor and it can be filled with waterfowl – especially during migration season.

Another good place to see birds or just take a nice walk is the Las Vegas Wash at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Las_Vegas_Wash

Chinatown is an interesting place to walk around.

If you are looking for international food items you can go to the International Marketplace at 5000 S. Decatur

Hi all,

Last visit stayed Red Rock. Decided to go Red Rock park. Another time did Dam for about 10th time.

I'm wondering what u guys might suggest, like downtown etc.  Interesting places to see....

I have always wanted to drive to Grand Canyon, but didn't. Flew over many times.  How about Death Valley?

We've gone to Laughlin, Mesquite,   Mt Morris, but so many years ago. Used to base out of Vegas to visit friends in Calif.  Stayed in aunts house in high desert and shoulda went to Roy Rogers place.  Even Disney Land and Phoenix driving out of Vegas. Of course staying over nite when miles away.

Interested in any crazy ideas.

Hope the 4th brought you all happy times today.......Cheers....Jeep

Re: [vpFREE] Sports Bet Promo

Today's LVA News says that they incorrectly attributed this promo to the Downtown Grand. Silver Sevens is the correct casino.

https://www.lasvegasadvisor.com/news/2017-07-04/#lva-correction

From: tikithecat73lakeworth@yahoo.com

Vegas Values lists a Silver Sevens promo that includes a $25 free sports bet for hitting a hand pay, and a $10 one for hitting four aces in DDB. Las Vegas Advisor lists virtually the same promo, but at Downtown Grand. Are both places offering this promo?

RE: [vpFREE] Stations scratch cards

I am Platinum at Stations.  I didn't go Friday, scratched it and it was 15,000 points.  Very unusual for me (and Stations) and of course I missed it.  Went Sat and got 2500. Typical.  LOL. I don't go out of my way for any of those Station promo's either.

That's pretty sad for Presidential level, but expected from Station Casinos.  ($4, $3 and $4 in points)  At a much lower level I got $5 off food, 2500 points and $5  FP.  Not really worth my time but I was driving by Red Rock each day so stopped.

The last three days at Rampart in their Scratch N Win kisok game I got $15 food, $10 food and 2000 points,  a much better deal.  The food coupons there are good for 30 days.  (The $5 one from Station has to be used on July 3, 5 or 6th only)

Stations is so cheap I rarely participate in their promos that involve scratch offs or kisok games.
