I guess they decided they couldn't call it "the F" (for Fitzgerald
obviously, but F....)
I remember well one of our first trips to Vegas going to Fitzgerald and
walking through their "walk of luck" or whatever it was called, with 4 leaf
clovers, horseshoes, trolls, and whatever. Kitchy but fun (or at least
funny).
I'm going to guess the D won't have it.
Seems like they could have come up with something a little better in name
though, why not Fitz? or the J for Jackpot or the C for cash?

I reported the downgrades to vpFREE2 based on your post and one
on the vpFREE California forum that said the $5 9/6 JoB in high limit was
downgraded.
There are still some $10/$25/$100 9/6 JoB, $5/$10/$25/$100
8/5 BP and $25/$100 8/5/35 BP listed in the high limit area.
If anyone checks these, let us know or send an update to vpFREE2.com.

According to vpFREE2, $1 coin-in earns one point at the Las Vegas Club except on the 100.65% Jokers Wild, it's $3 coin-in per point.
You can go downtown from Caesars Palace by bus, taxi or rental car. Don't know which would be "best" for you.
Re: [vpFREE] New Marketing Genius at Rincon-at least he thinks "Genius"
Harrahs can downgrade every paytable, they can close/reduce hours on and eliminate hot foods, and players will continue to flock to their machines and respond to their lucrative-sounding mailings & offers until their final day comes. Just look at the unequalled enthusiasm as certain players report on their experiences with the vpFREE gang. And the lure of seven stars status still means more to many than a healthy bank account.

LVA Question of the Day - 14 MAR 2012
Q: Regarding the 2-10-2012 QoD concering the Hilton sign: I
recall reading many stories through the years where it is
stated that virtually all Las Vegas casino signs are made by
YESCO (Young Electric Sign COmpany), and their manufacturing
contracts are written in such a way that YESCO is the
permanent owner of the sign. I recall that the YESCO
"salvage" yard is 10 times as large as what the Neon Museum
has, and is several miles outside of town. Is there any
truth to this?

The downgrades are working their way up to the high limit vp machines as I had posted. Its not only quarter vp. This is happening at Rincon. I dont know about the other CE properties.

[vpFREE] New Marketing Genius at Rincon-at least he thinks "Genius"
Great news all of you out in VP Land. In a wonderful stroke of
"Genius" the new marketing director at Harrahs Rincon came up with the
following strategy to bring in more business at my local Harrahs. In
a matter of two, perhaps three days, they managed to reduce the pay
schedules on every full pay (or near full pay) machine on the casino
floor. I didn't bother to look in high limit as I stomped out of the
place. Did, however, complain to any and all who would listen. There
was a coupe who had driven to Rincon from Arizona because they had
heard of the very good VP play there. When they over heard me having
a "discussion" with a slot tech they immediately went to check out to
go home. The keeper of the machine inventory for VP FREE can consider
changing the list at Rincon with the exception of the sole three old
bonus poker only machines that remain at 8/5 for dollars and twos. I
say consider the change as it will take a machine by machine check. I
noticed two like machines side by side where one had 7/5 Bonus
(dollars) that paid 1/1 on two pair. The other had 6/5 with 2/1 for
two pair. I didn't take the time to go to every machine in the
house. All of the pay scheds I refer to are for dollars. Less than
dollars is, of course, much worse.
JOB 7/5
DDB 8/5
Bonus 6/5
Deuces 4oak down to 20, 5oak 8
I think DB remained at 9/6
Every casino in the area still has full pay in abundance. That's
PALA, Valley View, even little Pauma has better scheds. Rincon did
this in 2008 and ended up shooting themselves in the foot. However,
I've heard that Rincon is doing better than any of the LV properties,
which, if true, can't be left alone, can it? I am 7*. I called my
host and told him I can no longer play there when there are so many
better games within a few miles. For what it's worth, he was
sympathetic.

Mohegan is doing the exact same thing. Perks are based on profitability. If you win, your free slot play and promotions are decreased.

we please make a concerted effort to distinguish between at least quarter
players and dollar players when we make reports. for instance, i assume
dealt4aok is referring to quarters--tho' i can't be sure--because every
harrah's i play at on the east coast and in the south has at least a few fp

They are probably preparing for the revamped slot club next month, which is supposed to offer cashback or free play. (I forget which.) Most certainly the CB rate won't be enough to compensate for the reduced paytables.
