[vpFREE] Re: Ellis rewards

I was getting the top mailer (Elite Inner Circle). Near the end of November, I started receiving the Perks postcards, in addition to my regular mailer. Sweet! My spouse, who had the next highest mailer, had been putting significantly more coin in than previously, to try to also get the top mailer. He started to receive the Perks postcards, but they abruptly stopped in December after he hit some nice jackpots. I had been losing for several months, and still am getting the Perks postcards. Since the January changes, I now just play them through and cash out. My spouse was told by a person in management that under the new system the Perks would kick in and be mailed out every time a certain amount of theo was reached, and that his food offers would show up on the kiosk as before. However, he has had no offers show up on the kiosk. Also, I have not played there at all since December except to redeem the Perks, and I'm still receiving the postcards plus my food offers are appearing on the kiosks,I feel like their expectation of customers playing for the possibility of getting a reward is asking us to buy a pig in a poke. Also, they are sending me a calendar with no information about my food offers. Since December, my husband has not even received those, after getting them for years.

Re: [vpFREE] Bob Dancer's LVA - 24 FEB 2015

>Well Bob, I've seen you make mistakes before, but this one is your biggest. It all comes down to priorities, and the way you arrange yours
>is not the way to have a lengthy relationship with a spouse. I've been married to the same woman for over 40 years, so I have some knowledge in this area. If you are half as successful in your profession as you would appear to be, losing one day of double points shouldn't seriously impact your bottom line. Pissing off your wife could cause significantly greater damage.

As could being henpecked, pussy-whipped, and/or a doormat. I have the
same issue of conditionality that Bob does. Often, long before I'm
ready to give the kind of definite answer that is so often
antithetical to a life that's based so much on random events, my wife
wants one. Too bad.

[vpFREE] Re: Back-to-back hits

A few years ago, playing single line NSU deuces at the Southpoint, I had three natural quads back to back to back. Three in a row is really unlikely, but the way it went was downright weird.

Hand one, I was dealt a pair of eights, and drew the other two for a natural quad. Hand two, I was dealt a pair of fours, and, again, drew the other two for another natural quad. Hand three, I was dealt a pair of deuces, and as I hit the draw button, I thought: "I can't possibly hit again", but, unbelievably, I did hit the four deuces!

Quads three hands in a row, each time drawing to a pair, with the progression from eights to fours to twos. Could it have been much more weird?

Re: [vpFREE] Re: Bob Dancer's LVA - 24 FEB 2015

If I were married my marriage would take precedence over gambling. I know of one person whose marriage ended because of his gambling (he was not a losing gambler). His wife didn't want him gambling and he promised her he would not. He gambled hoping that she would not find out (that was his real gamble). She did find out however and that was it for his marriage. Can't blame her, he is a lying, cheating, gambler. BTW there are 3 days of the year I never gamble on - 1)SuperBowl Sunday. 2)my birthday. 3)Christmas.

Re: [vpFREE] Re: Bob Dancer's LVA - 24 FEB 2015

When you marry a gambler, it includes the gambler's exemption:

All obligations of marriage (known in legalese as "the ball and chain") are temporarily suspended during South Point double points or any other gambling promotion the gambler feels may be worthwhile. Gambling always takes precedence, over anything else.
