I can only hope this is a big success. I'm also thinking that a manufacturer, like IGT, should get behind it more. Try promoting something like the FrankNBob machines instead of all the latest fad slot machine rip-offs.

That does sound like an excellent choice. I have never played it but it certainly fits the "different" description.
Interestingly, I looked at some pay tables on vpfree and I see there are two basic scenarios. There is 1-1-4-6-7-10, and then there is 1-2-3-4-5-8. The first is at 96.83%, and the second is at 98.10%. And unlike the other FrankNBob games, this one would not be positive at $2700 for quarters.
I don't know how difficult this game would be, but perhaps the second scenario (98.10) would work if it is difficult enough.
Anyway, I agree that is a good choice, Richard. But I'm still leaning towards All American. The more I think of it, All American seems like a slam-dunk.

I wonder is this might have been worded ambiguously. It doesn't take
$100,000 of play in each of any 3 consecutive months, for a total of
at least $300,000, but a total of $100,000 of play in any 3
consecutive months.

This is a challenging dilemma. The more I think about it the more I realize
how few "different" types of video poker there really are.
Essentially the White Hot Aces and TB-Plus and Super Aces games are just
different twists on Double Double Bonus.
I was first thinking about the Joker games they have back East where the
5-of-a-kind is the biggest payoff instead of a royal. I have never played
that.
I think either you or Bob mentioned on the Show last week the game of
One-Eyed-Jacks. I have never played that either but I understand that is
extremely difficult.
Perhaps a Deuces-Joker type game. Or how about a Bonus Deuces Wild? Or a
Double Deuces Wild?
I still think the All American would fit. It's "different" enough, and the
7-7-7 pay table is in the low 96% range.

If you're asking about the $1 10/7 DB at the Eldorado in Reno, they are long gone.

By the way, if you still can't derive the
location of the bank in question after reading the pertinent post above, and
you are as directionally impaired as I suspect, try this: Enter Sam's at
the keno lounge/poker room doors. Take ten steps inside the building. The
keno lounge will be directly on your left. Turn your body to your right and
you will see the bank on the wall across the way with machines in a circular
type pattern between you and the bank.

Well, Brad said to me today - I'm running out of the little hotel shampoos -
why don't you buy me a big bottle of some cheap stuff? I looked at him like
he had lost his mind - we don't use the B-word when we are talking about
shampoo and conditioner and body wash - or food!!!
I sent out an emergency call to a friend who stays in hotels more than we do
these days!!!!

[vpFREE] Will M Progressives Catch On?
Just wondering if it turns out the large progressives at the M are a success, will the idea catch on with other casinos?
I would expect to see the same format spread around Vegas but maybe not. Time will tell
[vpFREE] Re: New Game Suggestion for FrankNBobs
If you want to make it win for the casino and win for the player, someone will have to lose. The struggle is to bring in recreational players to take the losses like live poker or sports betting. Marketing might be the ticket to getting players in those seats to bring the progressives up. Multiple progressives (RF, SF 4-kind) would bring down the volatility but then might not be as attractive as a big jackpot.

I'm open to suggestions. Really...really open.
If you are against putting in less known games, what would you suggest we do instead, to make the bank more sustainable for the casino and more fun for the player.
This started out as a vpFREE request and idea. I see no problem in including everyone's advice in its continued success and existence.

[vpFREE] Re: New Game Suggestion for FrankNBobs
All American is right at the top of our short list. Of course not everyone will be familiar with it, but that's exactly the point isn't it? To pick games people are less familiar with.
I can see this from both a players POV and the casinos. From both sides of the argument the most important thing is sustainability.
If the games are familiar and easy the meter-rise is simply to high. 96.3% + 4% MR + .3% CB + "perfect play" is a loss for the casino.
As a player I'd like to keep it easy and familiar, just like all of you would want. Also as a player, I'd like this bank not only to last but to multiply into other venues. Keeping the games easy simply isn't an option if play preservation and proliferation is to be our paramount concern.
Just tell yourself it'll be "fun" to learn new games.
~FK
P.S. Did I spell "fun" correctly? Seems like the last time I used the word it had a silent "q".

[vpFREE] New Game Suggestion for FrankNBobs
I was thinking about what Frank said on the radio show the other night about M Resort wanting to switch out the 7-5 Jacks-or-better for something else, something a bit more challenging (and more profitable for the casino). I was wondering what would be a good, and different, choice.
What about All American? What about a pay table like the following?
1-1-3-7-7-7-40-200-800
Would that work?
