Jean Scott addressed this in her latest blog:
"Having a "gambling buddy" can be an economic advantage, especially if you have a small bankroll, because two people playing the same play together don't need a bigger bankroll than the solo player."

I said I stayed at the GN I didn't say I gambled there. I never gambled at all at the GN. True there is nothing to play. I played at Four Queens, El Cortez (a lady had the single DDW machine tied up) and pickum at the Freemont. I was disappointed that the Golden Gate didn't have $5 BJ. i really like the place but don't feel comfortable playing $10 a hand.
As far as picking another game, I'm playing the one that gives me the best EV. I'm just going to hang in there and hope I get lucky. BTW the last Royal was on a Texas Holdem machine at Binions. Went back to play the next time and they took them out. I ended up buying them. Have one in my basement now.
I'm going to put it up for sale soon, I doubt if there is another one in existence.

Personally I'll take the Palms over GN 100 days out of 100. Hell, I'll take the 4 Queens next door over GN 100 days out of 100.

At check out they did take the coupon.I tried the $20 trick upgrade at checkin at the Palms to no avail.I think I'm through with the Palms as it seemed no one was concerned about your happiness. The Red Rock sent me free rooms for December, but so far nothing for Jan when we are coming again.I hit Dueces once, but never drew on 4 to a Royal and the drought continues since 1995.

[vpFREE] RE: Bob Dancer's LVA 26 NOV 2013
I think this is one of Bob's best articles -- it frames the somewhat nebulous concept of "bankroll" in real terms that give it greater substance.
He fleshes out aspects that require that a player make some judgement calls about their financial circumstances in order to realistically assess one's bankroll, and at the same times notes how practical limitations come in to play in imposing limits on the realistic application of such a bankroll figure.
I would have liked Bob to direct state (rather than just alluding to) that the bankroll concept, while based on absolute statistics, is best applied to one's play as a general acid test of play appropriateness, rather than as precise play measure. Among other things, determinants such as one's ROR "comfort zone" is strictly a gut call -- there's no prescribed standard.
All in all, I think Bob knocked this one out of the park.

They tell me one thing and do something else! Lol. I am recommending to ask or swipe everywhere these days. That seems to be the trend.

[vpFREE] RE: Video Poker ‘Hackers’ Cleared of Federal Charges
I forgot about this case, thinking back to 2009/2010 in the local So. Cal. casinos I used to frequent, I remember this guy who was frantically pounding on the buttons for several seconds after every win. I could never figure out why, even after paying close attention, and dismissed to just an excentric player with a weird way to play.
I saw this guy at the same tripple play machine changing denominations from quarter to dollars and always cashing in after a win and reloading with cash. He never played too long, maybe 30 minutes, but for about 1 year he was a regular...then disappeared, never saw him again. Wonder if he was one of the "friends".

[vpFREE] RE: Bob Dancer's LV Advisor Column - 19 NOV 2013
Regarding Bob Dancer's column, I appreciate the honesty in the writing. I prefer forthrightness over hypocrisy any day.

$5 slot play
$10,000 slot play
50 bonus drawing entries
Tote bag
Something else (sorry I forgot)
I find it hard to believe I have a 1 in 5 shot at $10,000 slot play and that I miss it every time.

I can't speak about NJ. You may well be correct.
When I was writing the article I was thinking about the kiosk drawings run by the Coast Casinos (part of B Connected) in Las Vegas. There players regularly get about the same amount (perhaps $3, perhaps $5, perhaps $25, etc., depending on their play level) and once they've selected it always shows $250 or $500 prizes were available. I've seen these kiosk games at both Sam's Town and Gold Coast. I haven't experienced them elsewhere.
