[vpFREE] Palms Gift Cards

Anyone know the Cardholder Name and Address tied to these?
They seem to be real Discover cards, but can't be used as such (outside the
property) without this "secret" info.

After seeing your question, I took a look at these today. I know right where those machines were...about four banks in front of the entrance to Ovation...and they're not there now. They could have been moved, but somehow I doubt it.

RE: [vpFREE] Re: DIAD ?s

You most likely could have since some properties seem to interpret the rules differently or don't follow them.

But as you say in your second paragraph, you should always check with Total Rewards on the day you are going to do DIAD and try to do it before the desk closes for the day.

maybe you can't now, but i'm pretty sure i did DIAD in consecutive
years 3-4 years ago, and i did it again last year.

to the original poster: no matter what advice you get from online
forums, before you go putting in tens of thousands in action on a -EV
game in the hopes of increased status, ask the booth to make sure
you'll actually get it. and get the name of the boothling you talked

Re: [vpFREE] iPad use on the casino floor???

> Hi all, decided on taking iPad down next week on my pilgrimage...back in the day you couldn't even take pictures in a casino...now of course the situation is different...will be taking this around on various trips to casinos, etc.  Would using this on the floor be considered against the casino rules? Won't be running VP simulators or anything of the like, but wondering what y'all think!

i expect you'll be fine. there's a chance some security guard will get
a bug up his ass and ask you to put it away, but there's always an
outside chance that some security guard will get a bug up his ass
about something. if that happens, apologize, put it away, and move on.
but people use their iPhones all over the place on the floor, and the
iPad is just a big iPhone.

to avoid misunderstanding, probably best to avoid using it while
you're actually playing, or at least not while in the middle of a
hand. and don't take it out at the blackjack table.

wynn gave me an iPad - it has their logo engraved on the back and
everything - and never said anything about "don't use it while you're
on the floor". nor did anyone bother an iPad-wielding friend of mine
while we were hanging out outside a restaurant there, waiting for a
table. so that's at least *one* property that appears to be
iPad-friendly. :)

best wishes,

exchange rate is $2 in comp (200 points) for $1 in XPC. maximum of
$500 in comp for $250 in XPC, per player, per day.

and yes, XPC is indeed extra play credits, AKA freeplay.

if you have two players on a linked account, both can do the
$500-for-$250 thing, so you can take $1000 comp off the account in one
day.

cheers,

Q: I was playing Three Card Poker and a man next to me was

playing Pair Plus only. He said that's how he's played for

several years and does well. My question is, what is the

house edge playing Pair Plus as opposed to the Ante?

Does anyone know about the exchange rate for this? I assume XPC is extra play credit or something like that. I need to decide if it is worth driving down from Tahoe on the 15th to take advantage of it. I think I have a lot of unused comp points.

Either the ferocity of Steel Panther has blinded us, or this bank is MIA; I'm leaning toward the latter. I'll report them on vpFree2.

[vpFREE] Re: DIAD ?s

FWIW: Both of the responses below might mot be accurate.

This has been our experience. If you earn DIAD during December
it will be good for the following year. You should have Diamond status from that day in December through March 31, 2013.

Also, we have done DIAD more than once on the same card. I do
not remember if it ever has been DIAD back to back. we analyze
my wife's position each year going into December . Last year
she was about 4,000 points away from Diamond. It would be only
3,000 tier points if we went to Laughlin and did DIAD.

We did it! It has probably the 3rd time she has done DIAD. She
has been a Diamond card holder using either the year method, or
DIAD since her first year, which was probably 2006. Her first
Daimond card was definitely DIAD in Laughlin!

As I said, maybe she has never did DIAD back to back. Maybe she
would not have been allowed to do DIAD back to back in Laughlin.
Maybe we were just "lucky". My point is that the key is to ask!

I am relaying our experience. Do your own research with the casino
of your preference before making a decision. We first would verify
if she was permitted. Each time they looked at her current card
and said yes. It was always emphasized that the play must be done midnight to midnight.

In Laughlin, we have been permitted to use multiple cards to earn DIAD. They issued us 4 cards. Both couples were standing in front
of the Reward Center when asking this question. We all successfully contributed to the DIAD requirement without any trouble.

I am not pretending to know the answers. These are not exaggerations
or guesses. I am relaying our experiences at this one Harrahs casino.

One additional benefit of my wife's DIAD efforts in Laughlin is
that the following year she has received numberous offers from Lauglin. It was because of one relatively large play day ($30,000 play in video poker).

Good luck,

Bob

> If you already have a Diamond Card earning Diamond in a Day give you nothing as it's only good for the current year...a year in which you are already Diamond. You cannot use Diamond in a Day to renew your status for the following year...but you can let your Diamond Status expire and then re-earn Diamond in a Day.

[vpFREE] Re: Video Poker PC Software / Simulator

I am still using the free version of Wolf Video Poker to do things similar to what you are doing. I like the way it handles simulations and it's worth a shot especially since it's free. :)
