I am fairly new to VP but have been practicing with apps and such. I am mostly a blackjack player but would like to generate comps, room comps in particular, through VP play. I'm a low roller and wondering:
1) What you all think the minimum level of coin in might be required to generate an initial mailer for a midweek room comp from a Boyd property like Gold Coast?
I've read that they are pretty good with machines/comps and I'm thinking of joining BConnected when I go to Vegas next week (this time staying on the Strip on the company dime).
2) Also, I'm thinking of playing something like triple play BP for quarters...I realize that, say, 9/6 JoB has a better expected return, but Gold Coast doesn't have this in triple play at the 25c level and am thinking that a triple play at a reduced amount would have less variance than $1 single play JoB. Ideally, I wouldn't need to play VP more than an hour or so. How does this sound?
3) Finally, since I will be in town on a Wednesday, I know that Boyd has mystery multipliers for seniors on that day...but read in some forum that non-locals always get the minimum multiplier. Does anyone know if this is true and what that lowest multiplier is?
But if my thinking is wrong about any of this (Gold Coast as good venue, best triple play game with minimum variance at that venue, etc.) please let me know.
Thanks for any advice!
