[vpFREE] fiesta/stations does not value my play

I stopped playing at Fiesta after they removed the 4700
Jokers last May/June. They never did value my play as a visitor.
250K annually and I had to beg for free rooms("use your points")
I have a new home now that appreciates my play and comps my rooms and
more for 25¢ play @ 100.6.

Thanks for the update on these bartops at Silverton's
Mi Casa Bar. Here's more info on them.

Some of the Mi Casa bartops have 25c 9/6 JoB with a
progressive on the royal and straight flush.

Other Mi Casa bartops have 25c/50c/$1/$2 9/6 JoB 3/5
play (no progressive).

Elsewhere at Silverton, the $5 8/5 BP outside the
high-limit room is MIA. And the SpinPoker and
Multi-Strikes with 8/5 BP inside the high-limit room
are now 50c/$1/$2 instead of $1/$5/$10/$25.

The database has been updated.

I have noticed there are several new machines located near the Fiesta
entrances with "Amigo" in the face plates. These look like slot
machines, but just what is the purpose? Could it be the free play can
only be put through these? That .041% may be much less.

Do you mean to say that for a mere $2,400.00 coin in, I can earn a whole
dollar's worth of free play? Doesn't that work out to a return greater than
.041%? Just what the hell was I thinkin' when I divorced them back in July?

Dunbar's got a tool that will give an exact answer, but for that many
hands, using the normal approximation won't be far off:

$250K/$1.25 = 200,000 hands at 5 coin quarters.

1SD = SQRT(Variance x hands) = SQRT(26 x 200,000) = 2,280 bets =
$2,850 at 5 coin quarters.

So:
68% chance of plus or minus $2,850
95% chance of plus or minus %5,700
about a 2.5% chance of losing more than $5,700

The cashback barely covers the negative expectation of NSUD. Assuming
no mistakes in play.

I'll intercede at the mention of Barbara (Barnot). We regard her as
one of the strongest hosts we've ever had the pleasure to deal with --
certainly among the most gracious and intelligent. In one instance,
she particularly extended herself.

If you had a sour encounter with her, I strongly expect it reflected
that her hands were tied by a stringent player development guideline
that restricted her discretion in the matter.

We've avoided NYNY since they tightened up theos restrictively. But
we'd follow her somewhere else in a heartbeat.

Re: [vpFREE] Laughlin Trip

Hi - My husband and I took this trip last April and it
was wonderful - never had to touch our luggage - they
did everything for us. When we arrived at the airport
(across the river), the bus was waiting for us and we
were greeted at the hotel with a drink (altho somewhat
watery) and our packet of room keys and info - they
transported our luggage to our room so we could go
immediately to the casino and play. We charged our
food to our room and in the end, depending on how much
you play, these charges were removed and we only had
to pay the tip. We rented a car and drove to LV -
there is only one place to get one and that is at the
airport but they will pick you up at the hotel and
transport you there. We reserved a car at Noon and
returned it the next day at Noon. It is an hour and a
half drive - with only one stop along the way for
potty and a drink. We had a reserved room downtown at
Fremont comped so just parked the car in the garage
across the street and spent the day/night downtown -
we didn't attempt to go to the Strip - altho you have
that option with a car. Harrah's in Laughlin is a
very, very nice and probably the best casino in
Laughlin but at the far end of the "Strip" and up a
hill so it's pretty hard to walk it. You could take
the river shuttle (which we did once) but the cost is
$5 pp so getting a taxi is a bit cheaper and quicker.
We ate most of our meals at Harrah's - had lunch at
the River Belle but this was for convenience more than
anything else. Our trip was from Tues night - about
10:00 PM to Fri morning - about 7:00 AM. so taking a
day off was quite nice and I would recommend it - nice
to drive in the desert and see mountains, etc. but not
much else. This was our first trip to Laughlin and
enjoyed it very much - not as busy and hectic as Vegas
but still fun with about 7 casinos to choice from and
lots of different machines. After that trip, I have
been offered many other trips including the one I'm
going to take the end of Feb to New Orleans - another
Harrah's comped trip for me and a guest (this time a
girlfriend) and I'm looking forward to it. Hope I've
answered some of your questions, feel free to contact
me if you have any others. B

Re: [vpFREE] Re: STAY AWAY FROM NEW YORK, NEW YORK

I definitely remember and I said I wouldn't go without RFB. We'll they switch back and forth with their offers. The one I have now says RFB. Unless I made a point of it good ole Steve Bernstein was going to screw me out of any comps above the room. He finally comped $100 /day. Big freaken deal. It is not worth the pain in the ass.
While marketing keeps sending me these nice offers, the hosts there suck and this goes for Babara Benoit too.
Fyi, I tried calling Mandaly Bay and they offered me 3 nts XB suite and RFB.

Yeah..I'm way behind on my VPFree post readings. However, if you
remember I had a somewhat similar situation with NYNY and in
particular Steven Bernstein( msg. # 81652) and you replied to my
post ( msg. # 82707).
I've read some of your followup but the bottom line is still that
NYNY doesn't deserve our play and Steven Bernstein is a shithead !
