Re: [vpFREE] Dream Card

As I posted a couple weeks ago, the Dream Card frequency for Deuces Wild games listed in Wizard's articles does not match that listed on the help screen for all the machines I've checked. Either he made a typo or his calculations for game return are inaccurate.

RE: [vpFREE] Re: Scot Krause's Slot Club Spotlight - 21 APR 2015

The most important question an advantage video poker player asks about a slot club is can I play @ enough EV advantage, given the mailer-free play, point multipliers, drawings, free food, etc. The key missing piece of info in determining this is how much coin-in must I do (at a less than 100% game) to receive what varying amounts of bounce-back-free play.Is this a theo based slot club or a fixed amount of coin-in results in a specific corresponding amount of free play in the form of a mailer.
It is this key missing part of information that I'm asking for as you review the various slot clubs.Does your research & contacts permit you to attain this most valuable piece of information?

---No. And the column isn't being written for "advantage video poker players" anyway.

What took this player so long to realize he was being cheated however? If this was happening to me I would be highly suspicious after 50 non trips or better hands and totally convinced I was being cheated after 100 such hands. I have tried to warn everyone on this site that cheating was possible and that there were so many ways of being cheated. It happened in the past and is almost certain to happen again. Why do they cheat? Because they can!! I just hope they all go to hell.

[vpFREE] Re: I found a mistake

Dunbar says all calcs were done with DRA-VP.What is DRA-VP? I'm looking for some instrument that can show me what my expected distribution of results & their frequency is for any given paytable and assuming perfect strategy play. Are these probability distributions calculated or simulation derived? Does VPW have a simulation feature whereby this info can be acquired?

[vpFREE] Re: Online Gambling Software Cheating??

The Amigotechs software has the capability to set the vp, slots and all table games, except craps for the house to "never go negative". If that game is in the negative and a winning hand comes up, it will redraw/spin until a loss.... this all happens in the code and is not displayed.

Re: [vpFREE] Dream Card

As far as I know Action Gaming who is the developer of all the games, and
licenses those games to manufacturers like IGT is the owner of the website.

I've noticed that on videopoker.com as well. However, the big question
for me regarding the article linked is whether the software used on
videopoker.com is identical to the software on the actual machines. Does
videopoker.com license the software from the manufacturer or does the
manufacturer actually own videopoker.com or is the software on
videopoker.com developed by a third party?

Just out of curiosity, why would you need to learn a different strategy. You get the dream card on the deal.

The vpFree database does not list all machines but only what is considered full pay and if nothing is considered full pay then the highest paying available.

You will find Dream Card in several Atlantic City casinos and it is fun to play but the paytables are horrible and in my opinion make them not worthwhile to play other than as a whim.

It also requires you learn a different strategy if you want to maximize the return.

I went to Vegas for the first time last month and played it at the Mirage (they have ONE machine with it, had to ask the attendant at the High Roller area to look in their book to find it) for the first time outside of VideoPoker.com. It was a 50 cent machine, so three hand was $7.50 per game, which is usually well over what I'd play, but I was up a bit and figured "first time in Vegas, favorite game, gotta play it." Down about $60 I hit four 5-K on DDB with the DreamCard helping me, so I stopped there and felt good about it, but wished it wasn't so expensive so I could play more.

Two machines in ALL of Atlantic City??? The pay tables/return for the casinos are not terrible, it's not like this is a 100%+ game... in fact, you could put an 8/5 JoB DC machine and the return would be better than a regular 8/5 JoB for the casino. I admit I might be missing it, and maybe it's everywhere and I just don't know it (the sign on the machines doesn't stand out too much).
