[vpFREE] Horseshoe Tunica

My wife and I are headed to Horseshoe Tunica to play on August 22nd.  Does anybody know the current state of quality for video poker at this casino?  Many thanks

That reminds me of when the Tuscany was giving 16x points. It might
have been when they switched from 10x points to 7x points. They took
back 9x of the 16x. It was done electronically. I don't know what
the Gaming Commission would have done if anyone had challenged it.

Re: [vpFREE] Vegas strip

Stu,
Believe that it is NYNY that doesn't give points on their 25 cent - dollar 9/6 VP

TI gives points on their dollar VP although at a very meager rate.

Oh, and a related question. What if a machine is awarding points at a higher than normal rate? Can the casino take them back after they discover the error?

Re: [vpFREE] Vegas strip

As always, the answer to this question depends on if you will have a car. Your question implies that you won't have a car so let's go that way. There is no decent $.25 vp on the Strip. (Well, Treasure Island had $1 9/6 JoB but gave no points/comps when you play those machines. You can check each casino's vp offerings by going to vpFREE2: Video Poker Information To Help You Win http://www.vpfree2.com and I'll actually check it on my iPhone when I'm in the casino so that I can find exactly where the best machines are located.
But you can take the free CEZ shuttle to the Rio. From there you can cross the streets to the Gold Coast (lots of good vp!) or the Palms (some decent vp). Personally, I play CEZ casinos locally and book at the Rio when I go to LV. Then, I stiff the Rio for their greedy pay-tables and play across the street at the Coast. Then after 3 days I move across the street to the Gold Coast or the Palms for a free room there. I use miles for my airfare and comp points for meals. Works out great for a 'free' trip to LV.

[vpFREE] Any precedent on losing points/comps?

I've thought about some scenarios and I'm wondering what the rules are (in Las Vegas under NGC jurisdiction) with respect to account closure. None of these has happened to me but I sometimes maintain large balances at places with expectations of better deals down the road (e.g. some casinos give a discount at the gift shop during certain periods) or there may be a limit on how much/often I am able to use my balances.

I recall reading a Bob Dancer article where he talks about someone getting their account at South Point shut down -- they went to the players club, were paid for their points, and that was it. I also recall some threads a while back where people talked about Stations where they had lots of points and got calls with offers to buy their point balance out for a smaller sum than what it was worth.

So, here's my question: if you have a point balance and/or a comp balance and a casino decides to revoke your players card because they have identified you as an AP, are they obligated to give you the full value of your points/comps in actual money? Does it matter how the points/comps can "normally" be used -- for example, if the points can only be used for freeplay does that change what the casino must do as opposed to if the points could be used for freeplay or cash? Also when I speak about comp balance, I am not talking about discretionary comps (i.e. the host says they could write you up to $200 in comps), I am talking about comps that are shown on your card (e.g. Tropicana, where you have a earned comp balance) and can be used just by giving your card to the cashier at a restaurant/gift shop.
