Great article, but all I got to say is "thanks pro's , for once again
screwing us normal players ! " I love quick quads , but they slowed these
down to unplayable speeds, as well as a lot of other machines at SP ,
including ultimate X !

LoL, funny that I commented on Bob's negative $7 comps...then someone mentioned JANugget giving them BIG negative comps...NOW it happened to me!

Apparently a hotel clerk made an error and charged a hotel room to my comp account by mistake...however even my host couldn't figure out how it let it do it and be NEGATIVE so much! (-$95!)

I got the shock of my life Easter Sunday. 4 months ago I slapped my phone number into the hand of a woman I dated 3 years ago. She didn't call. I ran into her 3 months ago and did the same thing. She didn't call. I did the same thing 2 months ago. No phone call.

I ran into her 9 days ago and, of course, slapped my phone number into the palm of her hand. This time she decided to bitch me out. We had some choice words and I left on a road trip a couple of days later thinking that we were now totally alienated.

But Easter Sunday she made a move. I got a text. We've been talking and texting the last few days. This morning she asked me how I've been running. She knows what I do. I told her I took yesterday off and worked on my novel. To which she asked "What's novel working?" I told her I was writing a novel about a small time gambler named River Johnny. "Good luck in your writing, Li'l Johnny" she replied. Then I told her that she was the prototype for one of the characters named Vaydra. I got the name from an old Lee Hazelwood/Nancy Sinatra song called "Some Velvet Morning." It's on Youtube. She wanted to know what role Vaydra plays in the book.

"She's the girl River Johnny can't get."
"Sounds familiar" she replied
"Yeah, that's right! But guess what, Toni. River Johnny is a hard headed man. He don't give up.
"I know" she replied.

"Hell, yeah. That's all I heard all the way over and back."
"Well, I guess they have a reason for it. Hey! Billy! Look!" Johnny said as he pointed.

Two "seamen's school" kids, dressed in whites, were walking from the galley towards the beer room, one with keys in his hands. Johnny and Billy grinned at each other. Every day two kids were assigned to restock the beer machines. It was always done in the middle of the day when the dining room was busy. If any of the beer was gonna be stolen, it was gonna have to be done in front of a dining room full of seamen.

"C'mon. Let's move to that table over there to get a better view" Billy said. They both darted for the other table. They watched without looking like they were watching. The two kids unlocked and entered the beer room, came out with a cart full of Dixie beer, and wheeled it to the first vending machine. The one with the keys opened it up and they started restocking. It was the third machine Johnny and Billy were interested in. The two kids finished the first and second machines then opened up the third. Johnny and Billy watched as the two kids just about had the third machine restocked without making a move.

"What a couple of dufluses" Johnny said in disgust. "Do you think we should tell them?"
"I'll do the honors" Billy said. "I need another beer anyway."

Billy walked over to the fourth machine and dropped a quarter in. "Hey, guys. A couple of months ago I was in your shoes. Look down there where the motor is" he said as he pointed to the bottom of the machine. The two kids looked down. "You see that empty space next to the motor? About 3 six-packs will fit down there. There's no panel on the back of the machine down there where the motor is. If you hold the door just right you can block off the view from most of the dining room. At night, when the hall is closed, you sneak down here, pull the machine out from the wall, grab the beer, shove the machine back in, then haul ass back upstairs. You got it?"
"Hell, yeah!" one of them said. "Thanks!" Billy got his beer and walked back to the table.

"How you gonna get to Bossier City, Johnny?"
"I'm gonna take Greyhound."

I knew it. Me and my GF scouted the casino for an hour. I was sure we checked them all. We settled for .25 BP. We only played for there new member promo...earn 20 points and get 25 free play and 25 food comp plus free parking for your first 2 trips. We ended up down $25 between the two of us but had a great lunch at the 24 cafe so it was worth it!
