I want to clarify my query here. I know how the comp system works generally for table play. I specifically want to know how table players earn Reward Credits at a CZR property to achieve various tier levels, i.e., Platinum. I did get one private e-mail answer and that writer said that a relative says he seems to get low points/rewards for what he plays vs slots or VP.

I am guessing that it is very hard – or even impossible – to find out in advance how much play gets a specific number of Reward Credts or Tier Points because it depends on so many factors, such as game choice, denom, etc. Maybe you just play and then see how many you get????? I would be very interested if anyone has made a study, comparing various table games vs. machine play which is more clear cut.

Most casinos will give players comps worth 5 to 50% of a player's expected loss. That variable percentage is based on the casino, your tier level, your level of play, and if there is a promotion in effect.

Casinos use the following formula to calculate how much of a player's action they expect to win.
Action x Casino Advantage = Player's Theoretical Loss

Assuming you are dealt 60 hands per hour playing Blackjack, and your average bet at is $10, and you play for 3 hours. The casino calculates your total action as $1800 (60 hands x $10 per hand x 3 hours).

Since pit bosses can't watch the play of every individual blackjack player to determine their skill level they general will estimate that their advantage over the masses of blackjack players to be 2%. This means they expect to win about $36 in the above example ($1800 x 2%).

This means the above player can expect a comp worth about $3.6 ($36 x 10%).

Many casinos base their comps on theoretical hold. The casino may give all games on a multi-game machine the same "theo". If that theo is based on an average or weighted average of all the games it may be higher.
