[vpFREE] Re: Caesars Palace increasing coin-in requirement for tier credits

Mohegan Sun in CT now has no points for the "better" machines. That includes ~100% pickem down to ~98% 9/5 JB.
You do have a point (pardon the pun).

[vpFREE] Re: Did I figure this correctly?

As you described, it would be right if normal is $1 FP for $500 action. Oxford Casino player's club is that rate (one of two joints in Maine).

By the way, Oxford (one year old) just got bought for $160 Million by Church Hill Downs which owns Riverwalk in Mississippi among others.
Casino was built @ $60 million by local influential/affluent nobility.

Not a bad day's pay for Maine.

It takes one dollar for one point and 500 points for one dollar of fp/food comps.....the offer is 20xpoints. I think this is a 4% game of about 102% payback, am I close? Many thanks, Rod

I hope it's not true. To my way of thinking, the best advantage play in Las Vegas was playing BP in the very pleasant M high limit lounge, while drinking their top shelf liquor. Johnnie Walker Green Label, etc.

For those going on the 7 star signature cruise to Bermuda ---
I will bring some labels to wear for myself and anyone else interested, since a number of people from the list will be going like Coachvee, Harryporter, Annesez, myself and others, to wear at opening cocktail party, so we can meetup.

If you are going you should print out edocs and baggage tags before cruise to bring. It is suggested to tape those tags on luggage. (I'll have some tape too -- don't put the cruise tags on until u get to the hotel). Harrahs is giving us three specialty dinners and $200 cruise credit, which must be booked onboard only. Plan to hand carry and medicines, passport, valuables, since other luggage will be taken by porters to your room. You will have to go through security to get on board, but it is less invasive than a plane, mostly seems to be to stop people from bringing their own liquor onboard.

Barry, by the above rationale, if I play an 8/5 DDB machine that is sitting next to a 9/6 JOB machine and hit aces with a kicker on the DDB machine, that's okay because I made money? We can control the games we play and the holds we make but not the results. Even in the short term, this is dangerous thinking. You see it at the poker tables all the time. People chase 23 to 1 shots when they have to call $20 into a $150 pot. Sure you will hit sometimes but it is still the wrong play.

All of your 'short run' results add up to your 'long run' results. This is why people play more and for bigger stakes when they are 'hot'. People will be $200 at the dice table when they are usually a $10 player because there have 8 passes in a row made.

Short term results should not influence your play decisions.

It was reported on the group earlier, so I assume the information is correct.

I was there around July 4th and the way people were watching the points meters like the countdown clock on new year's eve, I wouldn't be surprised if other CZR properties make the same change.  I lost track of the number of people I heard mention that they hit 500pts, cash out, and leave.

Reportedly Caesars Palace in Las Vegas is now only giving 1 tier credit for every $25 played on video poker. This has been 1 tier credit per $10 coin-in on video poker so this would be a huge change in the negative direction for VP players. Can anyone confirm this?

Someone mentioned this here a few days ago. It's not all video poker that's now $25 per point. It's only on the better vp.

I was just at Caesars Palace. They have $25 per point stickers right by the card reader displays just on the machines with 9/6 JoB and 8/5 BP. Vpfree2.com was updated for this a few days ago.
