[vpFREE] Re: Red Rock

Why do they owe you a mailer? You play 99% games you are lucky to get - do you think this is play they need to incent with mailers? You all don't get as long as there are people playing 9/5 DDB and video reels - they don't need anyone at VP Free - get it? What is worse is that Station once had a suppression list - that is the offical name for mailers for anyone with a net win within some time frame, even if the win game from Megabucks.

[vpFREE] which video poker

Hey all,

I am goingto Vegas next week, when I was there in July I had some luck at TI playing 10 play video poker. But which are the best number of plays for JOB or Deuces Wild - 1 play, 3 play, 5 play, 10 play, 50 play or 100 play? It seems you have more chance to get at least some wins with 50 or 100 play. Is this correct or are your chances just as good or better with 10 play or lower?  Which casinos have the most favorable machines? Thanks for you help.

[vpFREE] Re: Red Rock

Spouse and I have only partly played the deuces. We played a lot less than 100% games with a lot of slots thrown in. Only once this year we took an offer of a room comp. I checked online and there is almost no benies showing. I was very irratated once at T-Bones as we had dinner one and a half hours after they opened and no prime rib. (We'll give you some benies, just don't win).

Gofastnismo, I understand what you wrote, but my beef with Stations is how they handled restricting players who played even 9/6 JoB. (I played nothing better than 9/6 JoB and also a lot of 8/5 BP. No 100% payback machines.) Permanently excluding us from all promotions/mulipliers/mailers forever is way too harsh. They've made a lot of enemies by doing this.

[vpFREE] Re: Red Rock

I like the free "stuff" Stations gives out, especially at Christmas.
I have often driven 26 miles one way to Red Rock for some jacket or blanket, candy or similar giveaway.

I don't hit many jackpots, none this year at Stations, and I am a recreational player, who enjoys the free food, and prizes.

Being on the do not invite list is horrible for someone like me.
I liked the free concerts, rooms, pies, blankets, souvenirs etc. that stations used to give away. What good are decent paying machines, if you don't get free stuff or mailers? Without the perks of a decent mailer, these machines are still a win for the casino.

There are lots of places that still have good machines, but Stations is the closest to where I live, so I like to play there. Are the machines a "trap?" If you play them you are identified as a do not invite player?

I still have lots of comp points, currently I am Pesident status, due to the double point days they had the first few weeks of the new program.

The last week of Oct. is when I got on this horrible list. Still don't know why. I emailed corporate, and I am awaiting an answer. Who knows if one will be forthcoming.

[vpFREE] Re: Red Rock

The world will be over. What do you expect when most of these people play FPDW. Almost every casino will limit you in some way if you only play positive or near positive games plus take advantage of point days. Its not a free ride anymore. Ive never been no mailed from a station because I mix in some other play. whether it be table play(baccarat, pai gow or craps) or slots(the girlfriend). If you want the comps to flow you have to show them you're willing to give them a shot at your money otherwise try another casino. Think of it as if you were a host. I wouldn't comp anyone a room or RFB if they only played 100% or plus games unless they perhaps showed a good loss. The casino has to pay the hotel their rate for comping a player. Yes this is how it works. Hotel and Casino are different sides and they have to compensate each other for the comps they give out. I know this because I worked doing this. Hosts are considered somewhat expendable to casinos and they shuffle around quite a bit. They have to answer for and explain the comps they give out. If they dont bring in the money they're gone. Marketing department on the other hand does some wacky stuff and hands out offers at their discretion to lure people back or bring them in for the first time. To put it out there bluntly, running $5000 through a FPDW or NSU Deuce machine isnt going to get anyone to notice you especially if you only lost a buck or two. GVR, at one time, required 50k a day to be even considered for RFB. Im sure Red Rock isnt that far off and considered just as tough if not tougher on comps than GVR.
