Except the staff in the coffee shop. Service is slow and a bad attitude appears to be mandatory.

Plus, when there's handpays involved they never foolishly give the last hundred in 20's (even though I don't tip either way).

What is SDBP? Can't find it in VPFree acronyms, unless it is the same as SDB. It is not in the Silverton entry on VPFree.
It sounds interesting. What denoms, and where?
Thanks.

When the shooting started in Laughlin the Harrah's security were the first people out of the building.

The last weekend in April 2002 at Harrah's Laughlin. A Hell's Angel's/Mongols patch war shootout. I had to work a big play around it.
[vpFREE] Re: Palms question
I'll be there tomorrow to check them out. That's the only machines that I play there now.

Subject: [vpFREE] XVP - Norwegian Jewel Cruise
Just back from a 7-day cruise to Canada/New England, and I've revised my opinion of Norwegian cruises, at least the one we just had. It was a freebie from Norwegian, based on play from the last cruise, so we only paid the port charges & fees.
My main complaint about my previous cruise on NCL was the very mediocre food in the main dining rooms, but, at least on the Jewel, that was far from the current status. Aside from the varied selection of daily specials, each dining room had standard offerings that included rib-eye steak, salmon and several others. The food was well-prepared, beautifully presented and hot when it was supposed to be. The salads were nice and cold, so they've really made an effort here.
The entertainment was also very good, a big step up from the normal theme park/talented amateur quality I've seen in the past. There were a gymnastics/acrobatics team (don't remember the names) but both were Olympic athletes in the past, and a very funny magician, Murray, who's appeared on America's Got Talent, and on Pawn Stars. Two excellent shows.
VP, as far as paytables went, consisted of the usual terrible offerings, but Lady Luck was definitely riding with me this trip, as I was able to hit a $1 RF, $2 A's with and without a kicker, and numerous other quads.
We were comped to a meal at Cagney's by the casino and had a substantial amount taken off our bill as a result of our play. Granted we played more than we would have had we not hit the big jackpots, but even a blind pig hits a royal once in a while.
Overall, a very enjoyable experience, and definitely worth taking advantage of, if you're offered a freebie by any casino.

There are two towers at Harrah's LV- Carnival and Mardis Gras. The Mardis Gras
tower is the oldest, but it is closer to the casino. I believe the tallest
floor in that tower is the 15th- there are rooms that face The Strip, rooms that
face the pool area (these are the ones that can be close to Carnival Court) and
rooms that overlook the roof of the convention area and all the related
equipment. I don't mind the rooms overlooking the pool- they have a sliding
glass door that opens on to a balcony- of course the balcony is only about 9"
(yes, nine inches) wide, but I enjoy room service breakfast overlooking the pool
from time to time. If you close the sliding glass door and crank the fan on the
a/c, I don't find the music to be obtrusive- but farther back in the tower
(east) is better. These rooms are a little smaller, but last time I stayed in
one they had been redone and were in good shape.
Lately they have been putting me up in the Carnaval Tower- it has 38 or 39
floors and either overlooks The Strip or out east, over the parking garage. The
tower is kind of a v-shape, so the you can't really look out the window from
anywhere in the rooom, except standing right at the window. Rooms are generally
are larger and also in good shape. If you can get one of the upper floors, they
have some decent suites- nothing opulent- this is Harrah's after all- but they
have a shower and a jacuzzi tub. If they offer you a mini suite for extra
money, I wouldn't bother- all that means is that you get a couch and sometimes a
wet bar area. Those rooms are right off the lobby and have easy access to
Starbucks- there are two- one in the main lobby and one on the second floor- for
morning coffee.
Stanadard rooms have a bed, two night stands, small table and two chairs, large
armoire that has the TV and closets on each side, with drawers underneath the
TV. There is usually an iron and ironing table, blow dryer and I seem to get
coffee pots, but that may be because I am Diamond with Total Rewards. Radio
alarm usually works just fine, but check the time to make sure the am/pm is
correct. Automated wake up call (with voicemail) as well. I believe they have
eliminated mini-bar refrigerators, but they have some thing there now with throw
away cameras, bottles of water and maybe some snacks.
I'm sure I left something out- but hopefully this helps- Lee.

I do not have a direct positive report, but a couple of customers have
ordered OpVP for use on Lion, and they have not reported any problems.
If you have any doubts, download the free demo and try it before ordering.
Thanks,

I was right there when the shooting took place at JANugget...duck and cover! The security was so poor prior to the shooting that it was obvious who had control of the place...However, on Saturday, it was FLOODED with SWAT (literally guys in camo walking around with AK's)
and the Laughlin shootout was 02?
