I saw one of those once. The odds are one in (649,740 x 60), assuming
there are no extra wild cards.

Re: [vpFREE] I'm running so bad, I lose to an ATM
I don't use casino ATM's, I don't play quick quads or 10-play anything, I don't rely on mysteries from the slot clubs, and I haven't written a check in over 6 years. But as far as being cooled off by a game, well, I've had that happen a time or two, and even Las Vegas gets cooled off by rain once in a while. Good to see it's over with....for now.

My game of choice is 10-play DDB QQ. There are some wild rides to be taken with this choice. Up til about 7 weeks ago, I was doing pretty good this year. For the last 7 weeks, I've been on a major cooler. About 2 weeks ago, I had alot going on & didn't read my emails carefully enuff. I get email saying...come in Fri. & get mystery free play based on your play, so I went. Lost my "bank", & sometimes I leave, sometimes I write a check & sometimes I use ATM. Today, I decided to use ATM.

[vpFREE] I'm running so bad, I lose to an ATM
There's a couple of good tips for some like me that could get caught.
Took out my limit ($300). I screwed around for about a minute before taking my money from the tray. My receipt came out & I reached for my money...NO MONEY. The cashier explains the casino has nothing to do w/ ATM, so I had to jump a bunch of hoops, go thru my bank to supposedly get my money refunded, which still hasn't happened BTW. I find out after the fact that on some ATM's if you don't take your money from tray fast enuff, it sucks it back in. You'd think there wud be an audible/visual warning this is about to take place, but no.
So first lesson, get your money from tray rite away.
So I cashed a check, & promptly also lost that...never did see any "free play" so stopped by VIP on my way otta casino to ask just how much did I have to put thru to see this "magical" free play. They said small print on email said "not available on VP or hi limit room". I suspect I wud have caught that had I not been looking at my mail as closely as I usually wud.
Lesson No. 2...check the small print. I knew better, but will now for sure.
My last coupla trips have FINALLY been winners again, so hopefully I've back on the good gracesof the RNG.
While I'm on here, I've a question on DDB QQ penalty card. The last line of strategy is hold 3,4 suited. Question, do you hold these with another card of same suit...say the 8. I suspect not, but don't know.

[vpFREE] Re: Discretionary Comp Question
Our monthly trips from Boston includes GVR. Offers are $50-$100 FP plus room plus point multiplier. We have been playing less and less the 100% games as point multipliers narrows the ev difference; not to mention trying to keep a low profile. We use our points and never ask for a food comp. We get relatively lot of points which may be the result of point multipliers. And their always having food specials.
Action is $30K/day with ~95% on FPVP and ~5% slots. Nice joint to end the trip and there's a short cut to/from the rental care return.
IMO, East Coast gamblers should take advantage of games other than FPJB while in mecca (FPDB, FPDDB, NSUD, and FPSuperDB are the strategy cards we carry).
At some joints, Mgmt flags FPJB and cuts theo; while giving other FPVP relatively decent theo. (That was happening at Mohegan before the VP debacle).
Not saying the case at Stations. Saw "pro's" playing FPJB during the point system change maybe 6 months ago. Queen wrote about on the board and in her articles/blog.
The transition appeared to make FPJB positive.
Our other casinos are now Main Street Station and Laughlin Aquarius. We always rent a car as cost is reasonable and drives gets us away from the machines.
Have a great trip(s).

There's usually a host in the Emerald Services room, but you need to dip an Emerald card to unlock the door. Sometimes there's also a host available to everyone at a desk in the high limit room.

Why give away money if you don't have to? Don't see how it would affect future marketing offers, but then what does affect marketing is often one of the great and wonderful mysteries of life....
