This isn't a rumor. I also saw one machine that still had 10/7 DB when
all the others were 9/6. It was the second machine from the right.

I requested my trip at the end of January and I still do not have a flight confirmation.  Has anyone been waiting a month to get their flight?  Why not let people book their own and reimburse them if you can't handle the volume.  It takes me less than 5 minutes online to book a flight.  This is just way beyond bad service.

[vpFREE] Harrah's Passport

 

I talked to someone high up in CZR.  They know the problem.  Passport is swamped because so many left their trip bookings until the last month or two before the March 31st deadline.  Employees in Passport have to be specially trained to meet airline booking rules so they just can't throw in anyone to help out temporarily.  A few employees who had that training but are now in other positions have volunteered to come in on weekends to help clear the backlog.
 
If you are a long-time or big player with a host who has some "power," you might ask if you can get extra free play at your local property in lieu of a trip.  That usually is against policy but you might be more successful with that special request at this time because of the Passport backlog.  Worth a try if you really don't want to take the trip.
 
One note that might clear up confusion about 7* retreats.  Your first one has to be taken before March 31.  (Same deadline for 80k Level III Diamond Aspiration trip.)  Your second retreat is really a Level I Signature Experience and the deadline for those experiences is June 30.

I'll observe that I book my trips through a LV-based NCM host and have generally had excellent results re Passport, who generally has responded with an itinerary for me to review within 48 hours of my request.  (There was one hiccup where there was miscommunication between my host and Passport, but it's difficult to necessarily lay that isolated incident at the hands of Passport -- this is out of something like 14 trip requests in the last 2-1/2 years.)

However, because of current request volume, I'm still waiting on arrangements I requested late Wednesday.  We're nearing the 21-day travel window, so I'm concerned that fares are going to exceed the allowance if not booked by tomorrow.

Just back and had no problem for new player (my husband) to get match of his free play coupon from elsewhere (Biloxi ms, and we could keep coupon) of $375 and two nights in ordinary room. Only thing was to get the extra 50% match would mean playing 7000 or more points. I couldn't get a straight answer on hoe much play it would be, but I think a lot. Each machine has a different countdown. On single line 9/5 DDB progressive (a coin dropper of all things, but sometimes the royal is high), countdown was about 35-40 (I didn't pay super attention to it once I realized we would never reach 7000) to get 1 point, so if u are doing this offer, you may very well never get the 50%bonus.

However the Golden Nugget is pretty generous in comps, and later mailings may include free play, and there is some cash back from play. You will also get mailers for tournaments and so on from your play for doing this offer.

I just was checking my account and noticed a couple of new features (at least new to me).


On the left side of the screen, in the section title "Card Score" they have added a button labelled "View Card Score History".  When I clicked it my play history for the current month plus 6 previous months was displayed.  The card score points that will be "retired" at end of current month as well as points required to maintain my status are displayed as well.

Another new button in the "Account Info" section is labelled "Update Points".  I'm not sure what it does, but hopefully will provide up-to-the-minute point information.
