There is a very good promo at South Point in January.


From Sunday through Wednesday, earn 500 same day points on slots or 2,000 same day points on video poker and you can spin the wheel on the card reader on your machine to earn points or free play. Maximum of 4 spins per day.


The points are valued between 2,500 ($7.50) up to 100,000 ($300) and the free play ranges from $5 to $100.


The wife and I played on Sunday and today (Monday):

-On both days the bonus spin kicked off at around 1,850 points on video poker.

-She got a total of $50 and $32.

-I got $77 and $40.

-The combined return for the first two days of the promo is around 6.5%.


This is a great play!

The carousel with 9/6 Jacks or Better is section DX.  I think they are all multi-denominational machines, some start at $0.25 and some start at $1.  I'm guessing there are roughly 5 machines there at the quarter level.

I'm surprised the Palms employee didn't offer to pass along your request to someone who might help you. Isn't that basic customer service.

I can't recommend anyone from the other Station casinos but some of the former Palms hosts are still there.

   Sorry for the late answer. I've been away.
   Go down the ecsalator from the parking garage, follow the tile pathway and it will take you there.
   There are some other machine's with 9.6 Jack's, or at least they were last time I was at Harrahs. Go down the steps from the Total Rewards booth, and you see a bunch of carrousels with video poker. The one's with the green glass also have 9/6 Jack's. Be careful, half of those are dollar's

it only takes less than 10 hours of quarter video poker a week to make chairman, is it worth it to make more than 300k in 6 months? I would be doing this through fpdw and progressives. Thanks in advance.

Although we have not done NOL for NYE, I can say no other CET property does as nice a job for their 7 star events as NOL, not even close. So I would guess they would be terrific for NYE too.  And their room service delivers fantastic hot  beignets!  Thanks for the idea for next year.

Gee, the Rampart did much better with their New Year's buffet.  An open bar, a raw bar with oysters, crab claws and shrimp along with smoked salmon and herring in cream.  I never checked out the meats as I was enjoying some Chinese food.  And their dessert bar is great.
