Re: [vpFREE] How likely is it?

Between Wed 1/9 - Sun 1/13, I went ~975 hands of 10/6 DDB .25 ($1,219
Coin-in) without a 4OAK.
Drought cost -$293.75, and ended with 7s (holding 3).

Mon 12/17 - Wed 12/18 I went 1,108 hands ($1273 Coin-in) without a 4OAK.
Drought cost -$292.50, but it ended with a $200 3s with a 2 (holding 2).

In the past 2 months, I've played ~5,000 hands of 10/6 DDB, and those
are the two big 4OAK droughts.

As part of Caesars new Total Rewards set-up, Seven Stars card holders will be able to cash in their comps for free play at a rate of 1 1/4 to 1 starting April 1. Supposedly, it can be done any day but there was no information if there would be a daily cap or if it would be for only a certain period of time. We also are assuming that this will be initiated nation-wide.

I had a 1K royal two days earlier and we came home with a rare cruise ship win. I hope to bang out a trip report this week.

[vpFREE] Re: How likely is it?

As a gambler, you need to get over 2 cycle droughts, because you'll see a lot of them. It's the 5 cycle plus droughts that really sting. Unfortunately, the more you play, the more likely it is that you will see them as well. You either survive them or you don't. Know what you're getting into (with N0 and Kelly bankroll) before heading out into the outback. Or just throw caution to the wind and go for it, hey, I hear sometimes even drunken pilots can land planes!

A royal happening every 40,000 hands isn't meant to imply any
regularity. It only means that each hand has a 1 in 40,000 chance.

RE: [vpFREE] Royal Hit

With an RNG it does not matter. Each hand is an independant trial. You could hit 5 royals in 40K hands or go ever 200K hands without one (we have done that twice). My wife is currently over 250K without one. On the other side of the coin in one 6 hour session of DDB she hit aces with once and faces with twice.

Remember ..... life is only what you make it. Never settle for second best.

Does the cycle start all over again since they only hit 250 coins instead of 4,000 or does the cycle continue?

Thanks for your input

Re: [vpFREE] How likely is it?

Based on my personal experience --- the probability of *no (0)* 4 of a kind
in what would appear to be a 2-3 hour (1200 hand) session is 98.65%.

[vpFREE] Re: How likely is it?

Well, what is "remarkable" is subjective. I will use "remark" (ie, say something to myself or a friend) if I go 1200 hands without four of a kind -- but I won't consider it any kind of major outlier. The 0.0585... probability (which I have not confirmed, but doesn't sound unreasonable) means, if you play 600 hands an hour (many play twice that or more), you went two hours with quads. That certainly has happened to almost anyone who plays the game, and the numbers suggest it should happen about once in every twenty sessions of 1200 hands.

For some, that's once in a two-day trip, for others, who play less and play less often, it may not occur so frequently. "Remarkable" (or not) is, again, subjective. That's why a number, such as the 0.05... figure, is more meaningful in discussing such matters. Then you can take that number, apply it to your rate of play and hours played, and get a rough idea of how often you should expect the event to occur in your own playing "context".
