I was told by a slot manager that Aristocrat Buffalo machines have a higher payback

for larger bets.  While the machine base payback can be changed by the casino, the increased
payback for bigger play is built into the machine program and can't be changed by
the casino.

For NSUD, $170 coin-in gets you 1 tier credit.
I was interested in a Daily Point conversion (the points you see on your machine) to tier credits and found that

85 Daily Points = 1 Tier Credit.

I'm confident that the 85 daily points or $170 coin-in is at worst an upper bound for one tier credit.
I was told by BConnected staff that if you change games or change machines, your tier credit "counter" resets to 0.  This could be costly to those that change games/machines frequently.
