I had an interesting conversation with a boothling and supervisor at Sam's Town today. I'm told that the 4 "Coast Casinos" are no longer going to be considered as a separate group, "they're all just Boyd properties." But the Coast Connection will continue to be published in the RJ. But the next issue won't be 'til September (with football contest info). Seems contradictory, but there it is.

Look for a correlation between mailer level and actual wins and losses. Some casinos are using this (at least partially) to determine bounce back levels.

Shopping Spree was an advantage slot from the Williams line.
http://www.pinrepair.com/slots/wms/shopspre.htm
Shopping Spree was the main symbol. You collected frequent shopping points whenever the shopping spree symbol landed in the window. Collect 50 points and you get a 20 coin bonus plus 10 free spins that paid double. The standard play was to spin it off in you found 40 points already collected.

Although the titles are very similar, the subject matter of the second book is much different. It deals with deeper stacked professional-level tournaments, but it introduces a concept he calls poker utility that is hardly ever mentioned in other poker tournament books. I've been carrying around one or the other of these books for a couple of weeks now, reading them if I'm eating meals alone in buffets. A friend came up and told me he thought the books weren't very good. The comments didn't cause me to lower my opinion of Snyder's books. Rather, it caused me to lower my opinion of my friend! Bob

Bob, my opinion of Arnold Snyder is he is a professional gambler's professional gambler. I think it was 4 or five years ago at the WSOP, ESPN had some of the top pros, in a light-hearted sidepiece, playing rochambeau.
For anyone who would like to read a review of Arnold's work, here it is: http://www.pokernews.com/news/2008/08/book-review-arnold-snyder-poker-tournament-formula-2.htm

Jean, for sportsbetting, were you betting on the Colts? I have to say I was a Colts fan for years. That's because I've been a Manning fan since the dad was a freshman at Ole Miss. I hated to see Peyton leave Indianapolis. But since he has, I understand why he went to Denver. He doesn't have to compete against his brother in the NFC, or Tom Brady in the AFC East. And the AFC West is a nothing division where he is practically guaranteed to make the playoffs. I'm gonna be a big Bronco's fan this year. Take care.

Also, diamond and seven stars are free. We already stayed at the Renaissance and the Ritz (which Caesars bought) for free and the first night we went we saw four royals (not on our machines of course) but we saw them just the same. I think casinos set their machines loose when they first open to get people coming. I hope I get one before it wears off.

Please don't show this to the folks at the new Revel casino. Thanks.

Re: [vpFREE] Re: Parking in Cleveland
I wouldn't bother going to any total rewards casino and get less than 15 points (or really 100 or more points). I do that before I take a bathroom or lunch break.

$15-$35 to park in the casinos parking garage??? Are they nuts???? Kind of understand, trying to keep it for casino customers only. But, $150 coin-in on 8/6 JOB or worse to get 15 tier credits for free parking. No way in H**L am I going to pay $35 for parking, so looks like I wont be going any time soon, if at all!!

[vpFREE] LVA Question of the Day - 26 MAY 2012
LVA Question of the Day - 26 MAY 2012
Q: Now that pool season has begun, is there a health code
regarding bringing your own food, snacks, soda, water, etc.
into a pool area? Friends of ours were staying at Tahiti
Village (time-share) last week and were not allowed to take
snacks, soda, water into the pool area. Their bags were
searched everytime and they could only purchase these items
on the premises. They were cited a health code, but it had
never happened before. New health code, or a scam?
