[vpFREE] Re: UBER vs LYFT

I drive for both though with Uber's issues, I'm driving only for Lyft at present.  I hope you're tipping <smile>.  You're saving a LOT over taxi fares and the ones you're paying seem fine.  Surge could be the difference.

Have you tried the highest rated email app?
With 4.5 stars in iTunes, the Yahoo Mail app is the highest rated email app on the market. What are you waiting for? Now you can access all your inboxes (Gmail, Outlook, AOL and more) in one place. Never delete an email again with 1000GB of free cloud storage.

Check Uber website for "unlimited rides at 5.99 uberx (or less).... 3.99  ride share for 30 days
$10 fee up front
Extremely large coverage area

I paid the $10, and will be using the next week.

[vpFREE] Re: UBER vs LYFT

It sounds like the higher price you encountered may have been from the Uber Surge Pricing which goes into effect when they are busy.

I find very little difference between Uber and Lyft. As a matter of fact many drive for both companies.

From: reallady@hctc.net

We have used UBER the last four trips from Las Vegas McCarran into Downtown and return. In mid-June the fare had jumped to slightly over $50 round trip. Have never tried LYFY but online they appear to be a little cheaper. I have been pleased with UBER except for the recent increase in price. Anyone have any recommendations?

[vpFREE] Re: First time play and mailers?

I would say that most casinos including the Gold Coast use a complicated formula to determine what offers we get. Not just coin-in but also theo and actual win/loss are usually in the formula. So it matters how much you play, what games you play and whether you win or lose.

I have heard of players getting as little as 4x points on the Boyd senior Wednesdays but mine have mostly been 5x and 6x. Anything higher has been very rare for me.

I'm skeptical that just one hour of 25c BP three play will get you future free Gold Coast room offers. I hope you will prove me wrong.

From: "adamsaround@gmail.com

I am fairly new to VP but have been practicing with apps and such. I am mostly a blackjack player but would like to generate comps, room comps in particular, through VP play. I'm a low roller and wondering:

1) What you all think the minimum level of coin in might be required to generate an initial mailer for a midweek room comp from a Boyd property like Gold Coast?

I've read that they are pretty good with machines/comps and I'm thinking of joining BConnected when I go to Vegas next week (this time staying on the Strip on the company dime).

2) Also, I'm thinking of playing something like triple play BP for quarters...I realize that, say, 9/6 JoB has a better expected return, but Gold Coast doesn't have this in triple play at the 25c level and am thinking that a triple play at a reduced amount would have less variance than $1 single play JoB. Ideally, I wouldn't need to play VP more than an hour or so. How does this sound?

3) Finally, since I will be in town on a Wednesday, I know that Boyd has mystery multipliers for seniors on that day...but read in some forum that non-locals always get the minimum multiplier. Does anyone know if this is true and what that lowest multiplier is?

But if my thinking is wrong about any of this (Gold Coast as good venue, best triple play game with minimum variance at that venue, etc.) please let me know.

Thanks for any advice!

Hope that's helpful--and also that I responded correctly, as I just joined the group and this is my first post.

John, welcome to the group and thanks for posting.

The "locals" casinos have very different mailers for visitors and locals. I think asking a host about the coin-in requirements is the best idea.
