[vpFREE] Soboba Database Update

At the dollar level, the best game I saw was 8/6 JoB.

I could not find the 25c 8/5 Progressive JoB listed. The only ones I saw were on Pot-0-Gold machines that require 8 coins so I doubt they would ever be positive.

RE: [vpFREE] Re: safety for women in casinos

I see guys, usually young circling the Hard Rock LV all the time when I'm there. They are looking for tickets left in machines.
Just last week, I left a 263.00 ticket in the Asian High Limit area, luckily I realized it after ten minutes and it was still there.
I've also had a guy at the Hard Rock tell me about this HOT machine and he wanted me to play it. It was of course an Ultimate X machine, so I played along and lost some money before I left. He even had the balls to touch the hold buttons.
Las Vegas is the ONLY city I carry lots of cash, and therefore there will always be scammers.
My recommendation is to press the service button the minute you feel uncomfortable. And always be alert of anyone around you.
I don't know what the casinos policy is, but if you are the least bit insecure, have a guard walk you to your car!!

Hello Mary-

It's not just women they are after- as mentioned, they could possibly be after the money you have in the machine. On Friday, June 28th- well, I guess on Saturday the 29th about 1:30 am, I was at the Four Queens playing the progressive .25 Double Bonus below Magnolias. Thanks to a nice run of luck (4 Aces twice and then the Royal for $1,060), I had something like $1,340.00 in the machine. While sitting there I heard a noise at my feet and felt something hit my leg. I looked down and saw some change on the floor- maybe a dollar's worth. I immediately looked around and saw a guy walking away in a blue shirt and shorts. Sure enough, that guy walked up a minute or two later and started to play the machine next to me. Almost immediately he asked if that was my change on the floor. I looked him in the eye and told him no, so he knew I had seen his face. He ent over and picked it up, cashed out and left. I wasn't falling for one of the oldest scams in Vegas. I cashed out shortly after that and went to the security desk and told the guy sitting there what happened. He pretty much did nothing, saying the guy has probably left by now because I had his description. As I tended to agree with him, I went to cash out my nice winning ticket.

I then went over and tried the progressive $1 Double Bonus bank by the lobby and saw the guy again. He circled by me 4 times while I was there that I saw. Since he knew or believed I had over $1,000 on me, I took this episode a little more seriously. I cashed out and went to tell security, but the same guard was walking towards the lobby and I stopped him and told him the guy was still there. Another guard walked up and the first guard got on his radio and broadcast a description of the guy and told the guard that walked up to go look for him.

I'm 6' 3", weigh over 300lbs and I am 50 years old. While I didn't really not feel safe, it did prove to me that some of these guys are just trying to make some easy money and will try their scam on anyone. I agree with the other posters- hit your service button if you want to make him go away and ask them to send security over or yell "Help" or "Security" if you feel unsafe. Have them escort you to your room or to valet or the garage when you are done playing. Security is there first and foremost to protect the hotel/casino assets, but a close second behind is to protect their guests, as who is going to patronize a hotel/casino that they don't feel safe at? It is possible they guy wasn't after money and perhaps had other bad intentions, but either way, utilize security to help with your safety. If they aren't willing to help, post that info here, as I certainly want to know about things like that and won't patronize such a place.

Just my .02- FYI and Thanks, Lee.

This has happened to me about 3 times and is more than just a little disconcerting. I hope it never happens again, but if it does, I will report it to security, I do not know what they can do. It is such a strange thing, and they act totally innocent, like they are just being friendly, but being touched by a stranger is not appropriate. I would love to know if this is some sort of a silly "game" and if other women (or men) have had similar incidents.

[vpFREE] Re: Revel's Loss Rebate

I imagine that "someone" is pulling the info out of their rear, frankly. (In any case, I would have thought it best not to discuss specifics of this tactic ... had imagined that Mickey's ego was sufficiently intact that he wouldn't have come forward with a "lookee what I came up with" post)

btw, re that strategy of yours ... jumping denom anytime you sense you have a "streak" going is an integral part, no? (or would that risk abruptly terminating said streak?)

[vpFREE] Re: Oops! I did it again ...

You've gone and spilled he beans, Bob (now who's gonna lend a sympathetic ear anytime soon should I complain about a run of bad luck! ;)

It was great to catch up with you Bob ... and very gratifying that you managed to catch a set of deuces during our time at the machine!

Bev and I are looking forward to spending a little more time with you and Marjean on the 7* cruise next month ...

Re: [vpFREE] Re: Revel's Loss Rebate

Someone told me (unconfirmed), that Harrah's computer algorithms will
put together card sessions to wipe out this Ultimate X strategy.
Personally, I start playing without a card when I have a significant
percentage of 10-12Xs...and then continue playing without my card
until a winning streak ends.
