Stayed there on Thurs. night.
Ate at Guardanos (sP) and used points to pay for it.
Used remainder of points in machines.
I told the lady when I checked out early that the reason was they removed the Dueces Progressive. She said it was moved somewhere else, but I assured her it wasn't.
Stayed remaining two nights at South Point. Ok casino, but I really don't know how to play their dueces wild machines. The straight just gives your money back. I guess I need to program it in Winpoker. Can that be done?
Played at Green Valley Ranch. Nice place, but comp points are sure slow in coming on the FPDW. $4 in equal one point. I had about 1000 points on my card and the lady said that was equal to a couple dollars in food comps.
ls $5000 enough to warrant hitting the Ducks on average?
Didn't this time, but hit three times last trip.
Royal Drought continues as does the drought here in Texas.

Also downgraded on the same machines are the $1 and $2 8/5 BP and 9/7 DB and the $1 9/6 DDB progressive.

Michael Konik's The Man With The $100,000 Breasts is a collection of his gambling articles in Cigar Aficianado Magazine. It was a great read.
[vpFREE] Re: Former interview posted for next week's guest on GWAE
DiCarlo was a good interview. Enjoyed comments on the battle between security and survelliance departments; how survelliance would give a bye to a counter because they thought security would rough em up.
The off-handed comments by your co-host about Moscow gambling sounded like a good future show theme.

Munch and I are debating whether to include Brian (the man who had the implants years ago to win the bet and still has them in place!) on the show or not! We probably will. [vpFREE] Gambling Wizards
All this talk lately about Richard Munchkin and Gambling Wizards prompted me to purchase the book for myself. It arrived yesterday and I am half way through it. It's a great read!
I had borrowed it from a friend before, a few years ago, and had not read it thoroughly. But now I will complete it, thoroughly, and I'm glad I bought it. I recommend it to anyone who has not read it before.
I also bought the book about the guy with the $100,000 breasts. I haven't started it yet but it looks to be an entertaining read also.
[vpFREE] Re: Monthly vpFREE Lunch Discontinued
Sphboc, you or anyone can host a vpFREE lunch, or any kind of
vpFREE get-together, wherever and whenever you would like.
Just post the details ahead of time here on the forum.
P.S. You wrote that the Palms "has recently removed all of its
positive games". As posted here and listed in vpFREE2.com,
they do still have a few 10/7 DB.

[vpFREE] Laughlin Tropicana Express News
The long-running 7777 promo is still there (3x pay for quad 7s), but it is no longer available on ANY 8/5 bonus machines, only on 7/5 machines in the non-smoking area and near the cashier cage. The 8/5 machines in the high limit area, which used to be eligible for this promo, are still full-pay - but no quad 7s bonus. Sorry if this is old news, it was new (and disappointing) to me.

Judy and I had been planning to attend . .
It might make more sense, if there's interest in resuming these, to change the location. The Gold Coast hasn't had any positive games for some time, and the Palms--across the street--has recently removed all of its positive games.
The Orleans has several progressives which--most of the time--are at least slightly positive.

"...But the Selbees, who run a gambling company called GS Investment Strategies, know a secret about the Massachusetts State Lottery: For a few days about every three months, Cash WinFall may be the most reliably lucrative lottery game in the country. Because of a quirk in the rules, when the jackpot reaches roughly $2 million and no one wins, payoffs for smaller prizes swell dramatically, which statisticians say practically assures a profit to anyone who buys at least $100,000 worth of tickets..."
