That's interesting. Has there been any "loosening" of any progressives? Would be nice to see some 9-6 JoB progressives.

There used to be a triple play NSU progressive there, I think they took it out or downgraded it several years ago. I just remember it because I hit a royal on it over $1200 and I think it was my first W2G ever. I always liked Boulder Station. Pretty casino, and it seems big too.

[vpFREE] Re: JoB Penalty Card Situation?

Thanks EE,

so all 4 conditions must be true in order to hold all 4 to a flush.
I appreciate everyone's time!

I feel the same way. I see people all the time at Palms walk right past the FPDW to play NSUD just to get what, a scratch ticket or a free sandwich?
Be aware Peppermill pulls the exact same stunts as Atlantis. Still, 2 first class properties and places to play.

The simplified rule in this situation is to always prefer the 3 to a Royal over 4 to a flush (unless of course it's 4 to a straight flush). You really won't go badly wrong in 9/6 JOB if you follow this rule.

The penalty card rule is: If the Royal draw is Ace high, 10 low, AND you have a fourth flush card, AND the 5th card is 10 or higher, then hold the 4 card flush. Otherwise, hold the 3 card Royal draw.

[vpFREE] Re: JoB Penalty Card Situation?

Hey Chandler, I tried to tweak the options and see if I could create penalty card situations however, I was unable to find the option to either turn on/off the switch.

Thanks

[vpFREE] JoB Penalty Card Situation?

Hello Group,

I have recently read a few things, articles/threads, regarding penalty card situations for JoB 9/6, specifically regarding (3 to a RF) or (4 to a Flush).

I was left with the impression, that if one is served 3 RF plus another suited card and a rag, then the 4th suited card would create a penalty card situation, therefore the best/correct hold would be to keep the 4-RF.

However, today, after fooling around with Frugal VP, the software yelled at me when I held the 4-to flush as opposed to 3-RF.

Could I please get some clarification? Did I misread and the 3RF is indeed the correct hold or is Frugal VP messing with me? Another alternative could be if indeed it does matter what the rank the 4th suited card is. If this is the case, then in some cases you'd hold the 3 to RF while others you'd hold the 4 to flush.

TIA!
