Well, that explains why when I recently emailed Jessica to book a stay, I did not hear from her. But, what seems odd is that Palms probably saw my email and did not respond in some way to see if they could make arrangements for me. Oh well, they lost my play for my upcoming stay.....I moved on & booked a stay at another casino.

Hope she gets the Wynn job.
Palms is coming down hard.
She'll spend tens of thousands in legal fees.
But you never know what discovery will reveal.

Re: [vpFREE] Palms files suit against former host
There is a huge difference between using your personal
'Rolodex' and your employers.
It's especially bad because she used company email
to send herself company files.
Illegal, dishonest, immoral.
Probably fattening, too.

Thank you, Randy. You are so right.
More than once, I have been contacted by hosts who have moved to a new
property and want me to follow them. I'm sure that plenty of people in
this Group have also.
Yes, it does happen all of the time. Jessica just happened to get caught.

[vpFREE] Re: Palms files suit against former host
Yes, no doubt that it happens all the time. The host would have to be an idiot or a saint not to do this if they could. BTW, this happens in every field not just casino hosting.
She got caught because she did not just copy the same information into a memory stick or use a different method and instead stole the information in a manner that leaves a pretty huge electronic trail.
Also she should have kept her mouth shut about looking for another job and then the IT department would not have been snooping through her email. The only reason somebody may not hire her is that she is not smart enough to steal the information without getting caught and obviously has a big mouth.

Re: [vpFREE] quandary about bonus 8/5
It depends on penalty cards.
If there is a flush penalty card with the KT, keep K bare.
If no penalty, keep KT.
I think you'll find both programs agree.

Might anyone know which is correct: holding k 10 suited (Win Poker advises) versus K only (Wolf ((frugal)) advises).
Thanks,

Re: [vpFREE] quandary about bonus 8/5
It's a penalty card situation, if there is another card of the same suit in the hand u hold only the king, if there is no other card of the same suit you hold the suited KT.

[vpFREE] Angry/Upset: Missed Comp - Casino Spa 'Offer'
Just under a month ago, we had quite a 'conversation' on
vpFREE about some folks who found out about an
'unadvertised' comp at the Casino Spa.
I was waiting for more discussion on the topic before
I jumped in, but since none has been forthcoming...
I'll reopen the can of worms. Why not?
Background:
One person who 'discovered' they didn't get the same
treatment/comp as a few others was very unhappy
they didn't 'automatically' get this comp.
I and a lot of other people took it this person was far too
harsh about the situation, by a long shot.
Instead of being PLEASED about discovering another potential
perk/comp/bennie of his/her whale status, he/she was ANGRY
the comp didn't just automatically come without asking for it.
It wasn't even CONSIDERED these comps may be discretionary,
or may be available depending on how heavily the Member has hit
their over and above second 'ghost' comp account. (Or how much
their Host has hit their own personal guest comp budget.)
They could have politely ASKED any old host about how to
recieve this wonderful extra bonus.
I like to do it the same way as Bob Dancer advises.
I get a heck of a lot more by being nice.
Like the time I got in the shortest line at the airport.
I was going to Japan.
And two Korean businessmen were hassling the heck out of
the girl at the counter. They wanted her boss. And they
wanted her Boss' boss. And they argued up and down
and around and on and on. They were rude and mean.
They were insistent and demanded what they wanted.
They wanted a free upgrade to Business Class.
It was a half an hour or so.
I didn't care because I was totally early anyway.
And I was tired and didn't want to get in another
line and walk the whole distance.
So I waited.
I got to the counter and the girl was super apologetic.
I told her I noticed what was happening and it wasn't
her fault, and I really didn't mind anyway.
She wanted to know why I didn't change lines and
I told her.
She asked if I had any requests.
I said as long as she could book me, I'd be happy.
She called her boss over and pointed to the screen.
I could only understand a little of their Japanese.
Surprise! They upgraded me to Business
Class and gave me some drink coupons.
I guess I could have yelled at them for making me wait.
I want to give Hosts an opportunity to feel like they
are rewarded for treating me well, by my happiness
and continued patronage, instead of having to 'fix'
problems, and feeling happy to get it over.
Reward your host, your pit boss, your bellhop
and your host, for special treatment and it will
be noticed, appreciated and reciprocated.
I've been surprised how much leeway and influence
the maid, busboy and bellhop have, by the way.
Tipping the bellhop and valet $5+, and the desk
clerk and maid $20 on the way in, gets noticed,
gets comps and upgrades you don't even have
to ask for, as well as special friendly treatment.
So put that in your Ev pipe and smoke it!
How much Ev is it worth to have the Casino be
extra friendly and looking out for you personally?

I can't imagine any Casino will ever hire her again for anything.
I certainly wouldn't want to have a host like her working at
a property I was playing at either.
So there you go, a Host Casinos and Players don't want.
It's all about integrity.
If the casino beats me fair and square, I'm ok with that.
I want an honest shot and courteous, professional treatment.
Oh yeah, and as much privacy and security the Casino
can practically provide.
I've been very fortunate to have been treated very well
by Casino staff, without every having them know me
as a high or low or regular roller.
I would say a part of my success with Casino Staff,
is that I've always asked for help, not demanded it.
I've also been careful not to blame anyone if at all
possible, using the Japanese adage of:
'Fix the problem, not the blame'.
This has led me to many upgrades, perks and comps
from kind pitbosses, dealers, Desk Staff and others...

Bob Dancer's method of 'getting along' and 'working

like mine, and still leaves the door open for other
ways to get your requests/needs honored.

Played the 7/5 bonus 25cent ten play and was up a few dollars and on the Pick Your Poison promo, Tuesday won 50.00 in free play and a gift and on Wednesday at 5am won 15.00 in free play and another free gift that I couldn't redeem.
