The Palms car wash is closing on August 31, 2014 and the tokens will expire per signs at the Promotion booth and at the car wash.

Here's a good article on the new Chinese restaurant. Szechuan is normally spelled without a space by the way, thus producing why I found the new name so funny. Lao Szechuan as a name would have made sense.

By the way, Henry, no one has eaten there because it hasn't opened yet. No one was complaining about the food. I was only saying the name they've chosen was funny!
As for the old Palms restaurant, Fortunes, it has pretty good food. The problem was that Asian diners found its location at the back of the 24-7 Cafe bad. They felt like they were being segregated and sent to the back of the room. The Palms wants to get more Asian players, so wants to come up with a restaurant that will bring in Asians, the way Ping Pang Pong and the Noodle restaurant across the street do. (Also the Rio has an always crowded Chinese restaurant.)
I'm sorry to see the excellent sushi bar that was in Little Buddah's go. We loved that restaurant. I'm looking forward to trying the new Szechuan restaurant as soon as it opens.

I, for one, will not miss it. Better food and more reasonable prices as well as better service just across the street.

Did anyone complain about the food? Did anyone complain about anything regarding the Palms restuarant? If so, I missed it. Misscraps merely found the name funny, which indeed it was.

Now I had to laugh. Come on, “by far” the best in town?

When we were in Vegas recently a food oriented person told me that the new Asian restaurant in the Palm will be by far the best in town. Don't you think one should try the food before complaining.
Cheers,
Henry

Well, they are trying to compete with Ping Pang Pong across the street. :P
