[vpFREE] Re: Horseshoe Hammond Downgrades

Unfortunately most of it is true. I sent an update on VPFree2, but since this had a thread, I thought I would post here to expedite it:

Major gutting of high limit room, I wrote down all machines left in high limit room that I saw > 98.9% so this may be easiest. Good news > 99.6% VP exists, but it's $25/tier credit and min $25/hand. :( All > 99% STP is gone...*cries*

MIA: All previous listings in high limit room

New/Still there:

(4) Slant 1 play $5, $10, $25 99.96% DDB, 99.96% DW44, 99.94% SA, 99.69% SDB, 99.66% BP, 99.64% Bdlx, 99.58% TDB, 99.54% JoB, 99.11% DB high limit room ($25 coin-in per tier credit)

(6) $1, $2, $5 1 play 99.54% JoB, 99.46% DDBAF, 99.29% JW, 99.26% BPAF, 99.24% DBAF, 99.17% BP, 98.91% DW44 high limit room

$1, $2, $5 SP 98.98% DDB high limit room

$1 50 play 98.98% DDB high limit room

Outside of the high limit room, I didn't double check everything previously listed...oops, but what I did check was

still there, so I would leave it there for now.

New/Still there:

Add 98.91% DW44 to (8) $1 1 Play Prog along an aisle in vp area across the room from the poker room

[vpFREE] Re: Jackpot Pictures - 20 AUG 2013

My experience is the opposite at CET Vegas properties. I can't count the number of times they have seen me taking a picture of a jackpot and they offer to take the picture with me in it. The only CET property that sometimes objects is the one they manage in Canada and there they say it is Canadian law. So there we just take it before they come ( most jackpots don't require a slot attendent since there is W2G's and records made of jackpots).

I don't think casinos really care about you taking pictures of your jackpot. The rule used to be no cameras allowed in the casino to protect OTHER players identity. If I am playing on a machine I might not want some stranger taking my picture. The security is there to protect my privacy.

I remember reading about a picture of a huge win that appeared in the paper. A bystander happened to be in the background and he was also in the pic. His boss saw his pic and remember he phoned in sick to work on that very day. His boss gave him a short suspension...and the suspended guy then sued the casino for not protecting his privacy. Not sure how it turned out but this is one of the reasons for no cameras allowed.

Hard to enforce now a days but they try.

I've taken many, many pictures of jackpots with my phone, and something like this has only happened to me one time. I flopped for $2500 (dealt quad 2s) on one of the upper lines of a Double Pay Poker machine. I took a picture of this with my phone before holding the bottom line cards, which didn't amount to much of anything. When the young attendant came by, she couldn't figure out how in the world I won over $2500 when the machine only showed about $10 won on the draw. I explained that I had flopped $2500 on the initial deal, and I could even show her the photo if she wanted to see it. That was when she said "You know, it's illegal to take pictures in the casino". I don't know if this was really true or not, and I don't think she did either. I think it was just something she had always heard and assumed to be true. Anyway - as others have mentioned on this thread - it is awfully difficult to enforce this rule now with all of the cell phone cameras around. I did get paid with no further complications, so it was really a non-issue.

Strangely, many casinos actually post pictures of winners with jackpots, sometimes even asking you if u would like your picture taken with them. The Palms posts pictures at its players club for example. Nowadays taking a picture of yourself with a machine is very commonplace. I haven't seen a sign in a casino forbidding pictures in a long, long time. I'd question the employee to ask where this rule is stated. Some people get an idea in their heads and just believe it is correct.

I'm curious: which Harrah's? LV?

Delaware Park is especially vigilant about not allowing pictures to be taken, I've heard.
