I've taken many, many pictures of jackpots with my phone, and something like this has only happened to me one time. I flopped for $2500 (dealt quad 2s) on one of the upper lines of a Double Pay Poker machine. I took a picture of this with my phone before holding the bottom line cards, which didn't amount to much of anything. When the young attendant came by, she couldn't figure out how in the world I won over $2500 when the machine only showed about $10 won on the draw. I explained that I had flopped $2500 on the initial deal, and I could even show her the photo if she wanted to see it. That was when she said "You know, it's illegal to take pictures in the casino". I don't know if this was really true or not, and I don't think she did either. I think it was just something she had always heard and assumed to be true. Anyway - as others have mentioned on this thread - it is awfully difficult to enforce this rule now with all of the cell phone cameras around. I did get paid with no further complications, so it was really a non-issue.
