Re: [vpFREE] Taxes on a team

How the IRS treats these forms is one example of it not mattering very
much if you follow their rules. Before I knew what their rules were,
I used these forms by having the person to whom the jackpot is meant
to be taxable signing it and giving it to the person who hit it. Then
I found out that the rule is for the person who hit it to take it to
the casino and have the casino reissue w-2gs to reflect to whom it
should be taxable. I tried this a little, but then found out that the
casinos didn't want to do it and I usually didn't want the casino to
know that the person who hit it wasn't going to be liable for the
taxes, so I went back to the way I first learned, which has never been
a problem with the IRS. Declaring income less than the total of w-2gs
will often be met with a huge tax bill that is easily resolved by
explaining what happened.

On the flip side you may have someone who already has big losses for the year who hits the progressive and doesn't have to pay any taxes. How do you deal with this?

After you sign-in to your Bconnected account, click on "Casinos" near the top of the page. Then click on "Gold Coast" from the drop down menu. If you have an assigned host at Gold Coast, their name, photo and a contact button will appear to the right of the casino's photo.

If you don't have an assigned host, there's a list of Gold Coast hosts on vpFREE2.com with their email addresses. That list looks correct to me although there may be other hosts in addition.

If people shard a bankroll for a progressive, how do they deal with taxes? For example one guy who hits the progressive may be in a higher tax bracket than the others and his cut may be largely eaten up by taxes. [vpFREE] Majestic Star - Gary IN, slot club

After a month of not getting an answer from anybody at the Majestic Star,I have adjusted the databases to show "Promo Cash" (EG: free play)
at 1/2 the old rate. For machines that take $10 to earn 1 point that works out to 0.05% for the three top tier levels and 0.025% for the bottom tier level.
Actual cash back can be taken at 1/2 the above rate and food comps are at double the above rate.
It is possible that the above rates are actually worse but I changed them based on my play.

Also, today (12/9/14) ten of the twelve machines that have 9-5 TB+ and 16-10 NSUD are disabled.
The slot techs indicate no changes. I will believe that when I see it.

Re: [vpFREE] Bob Dancer's LVA - 9 DEC 2014

Sorry I forgot to switch to plain text .
I would play it exactly as you would with no changes whatsoever.
The only thing I don't understand is the reasoning for all the calculations, unless of course it is for the purpose of teaching people the proper methodology in this column.
I assume that like myself in reality you would have found that the conclusion that you came to is obvious, but it may not be to everybody.

You have to sign into YOUR account.....and Then I believe it is right on the first page after you sign in. If you've never signed in before it's pretty much like making a sign-in for any other site......it shows your offers and point balance etc Good Luck!
