[vpFREE] Incentive (Bounce Back)

Hi,

On the vpFree Las Vegas database web page Venetian players club there
is a item "incentive" (bounce back) 12AM to 12AM. While the teacher
was teaching I was not paying attention in class. Could someone
explain what is the IBB?

And is it also true that if your show them a Diamond Card from HET
they will match it with their Gold Card? Or I could show them my gold
Cotai Rewards Club card from Macau, China. You should see the size of
the casino floor in Macau. FYI, HET renewal for Diamond card for 2008
you'll need 11,000 Tier Score.

Also any recommendation of a host at the "V"?

Thanks,
CLee

Ok, apologies to Mom -- she knows what she's talking about.

Back in November the Seminoles (operators of HR) were in negotiations
with the State to expand their gaming authorization to Class III
gaming. The governor's office, under former governor Jeb Bush,
dragged its heels. The Seminoles looked for stronger prospects under
the new administration -- backed up by a commitment that if the State
didn't conclude negotiations in short order, the Bureau of Indian
Affairs would authorize Class III gaming.

The linked article before states that HR Hollywood would initiate
Class III gaming Jan 28. Coconut Creek will follow in mid-February or
March.

I'd still keep an eye out for the "secondary win" mechanism,
identifying a Class II/Bingo machine, that I mentioned in my earlier
post this evening -- I wouldn't depend on the machine replacements
being entirely in place yet (but I expect that they are).

Would I play at HR? Probably, if a good game like 9/6 Jacks if
offered. If Cardfather is lurking, please investigate!

actually i wish i knew what their policy was...if you ask at the slot
club they will tell you full pay machines do not get mailers...but i
had received mailers for at least the last 6 months...are they late
this month or did they cut me off for whatever reason...which i knew
the actual reasons behind what they do...

Cardfather, who makes an occasional appearance in these parts and has
intimate familiarity with gaming in FL, wrote a couple of years ago
that HR Hollywood had exclusively Class II gaming.

However, perhaps your mother has the inside scoop re current changes.
But I'd be cognizant of the fact that this casino operates under
tribal gaming and isn't subject to any regulatory oversight, lending
less confidence re any gaming assumptions in my book.

To my knowledge, all Class II machines operate under a mechanism in
which any win is predetermined when you press "Deal", but before any
cards are selected for the Deal. Because for any resulting deal you
have control over the cards held and can "defeat" an intended winning
hand that yields the determined payout, it's necessary for a secondary
win option to be present (seen in various forms -- a genie that
revised your hold after an alternate losing hand is revealed, a "match
card bonus" that supplements any ending result, etc.) Further, it's
my understanding that Class II machines typically carry a "for
entertainment purposes only" disclaimer.

I might be willing to rely upon the presence or absence of a secondary
win option to differentiate between these two machine classes. But,
then again, it's more likely I wouldn't.

Just to capsulize: The "19,933, ..." value isn't a unique "number of
outcomes after a draw in a 52-card game". Nor is it required in order
to calculate probability, cycle/frequency, return, and variance.

By scaling up frequencies of finishing with each respective hand to
values over this number of hands played, all of the frequencies become
integers. This makes it possible to state the data in summary fashion
in digestible whole numbers, which is an appealing presentation.
That's the magic of this value.

[vpFREE] Jan 19 - 22 LV trip report plus updates on DDW & FPDW machines

Overall result was a net win consisting of:
- Good wins on VP playing DDW and a little JOB. Hit the deuces twice at El Cortez. Minor losses at Vegas Club.
- Good luck and wins on slots at MGM Grand. VP machines pay tables (quarters) terrible there so spent some time playing slots (dollar machines) before our dinner reservation.
- Absolutely terrible losses on craps sessions. Lost on every session. By far, my worst LV craps sessions. No shooter made more than three passes.

Locations played:
- El Cortez for VP (DDW & JOB), craps (10X odds), and WOF slots (to use up my free play).
- Vegas Club for DDW.
- Casino Royale for slots [100X odds :-) ]
- MGM for a short but profitable slots session.

Changes to Database needed:

- El Cortez --- The listed DDW slant-top was MIA. I asked three EC personnel about the machine and they all said it was removed a few weeks ago. However, the two listed DDW uprights were still there.

- Tropicana ------ The lone listed FPDW had a NSUD pay table (4 OAK paid only 4 coins). Also, it was converted to tickets rather than coin payout. Thus, FPDW is now extinct on the Strip to my knowledge.

Other comments:
- Stayed at the EC. Price was right and I love the "old Vegas" atmosphere.
- Most people on the EC VP machines appeared to be playing Keno!
- Not many people played the new Bob Dancer machines. I played them twice (JOB) when the DDW machines were not available.
- The EC DDW machines are slower than I remember. I averaged less than 500 hph versus about 700 at Vegas Club.
- I have to get serious about perfecting my KB Jokers accuracy because of the continued decline in the number of DDW & FPDW machines on the Strip and downtown. Only other option is to stay at off-Strip/not downtown locations.
- The Craftsteak (sp?) restaurant at MGM Grand has the best steak that I have eaten in LV. But Ruth Chris still rules supreme in other places.
- People who get the 99 cent shrimp cocktails at Golden Gate and not give a tip should be ashamed of themselves.
- To Bob Dancer --- I wish that your classes were earlier in the week such as on Mondays or Tuesdays. I doubt that I will ever be able to attend a Wednesday class due to my trip patterns/lengths. Also, did you try to get EC to add FPDW to the Dancer machines?
- My "no royals streak" is still intact after over 100,000 hands. However, I believe that I am above the norm in getting the 4 deuces.

Thanks!!!

I knew that wizardofodds would have something on this.

It was a slow day at work when I was looking in to this and my company flags wizardofodds as gambling (Go figure)

What I do not understand is HOW is that formula derived.
I started college as a Math major (switch to computer science), so I am
familiar with statistics and such, but cannot figure out how that is
derived.

[vpFREE] Four Queens

Hey All,

We have been staying and playing primarily at the Station Casinos for
the past couple of years. We are avid 10/7 DB players at the .50 and
$1.00 level for a total daily run thru of approx. $30,000 a day on
average. We have been thinking of a change due to the ever tightening
of comps lately at the Stations and were thinking about trying downtown
at the Four Queens. Anyone have any experience there?? Any ideas on how
much is required for full RFB?? Any thoughts or comments would be much
appreciated!!

[vpFREE] Full Coin To Short Changes Basic Strategy ?

Howdy

While viewing the Mensa thread I did not notice the fact that if you take
the "bonus RF payoff out of the mix you would have to alter the prescribed
strategy used when playing full coin or not.

Will someone can to enlighten those who choose the "short" play.?
