Two nights ago was severe, I think those from other parts of the country would take issue with considering last nights storm severe. Same with the muggy weather of today. It is humid for a desert. But for those in the Midwest, and southeast, not at all muggy. It is crazy how poorly the ground here absorbs even small amounts of rain though.

Huge flooding behind the Imperial Palace (woops...Quad), which always has a problem because that is where the Flamingo Wash goes, causing Koval st. To be closed. Gilley's inside TI had partial roof collapse and flooding. Part of the sign in front of the Rio went down (Teller is on it now without Penn). Some trees down, traffic problems, a few vehicles submerged when they went into low areas, traffic accidents, reports of things like porch furniture sliding into yards, debris in some yards and streets. Wind as high as 71 mph.

In the middle, people's cell phones went off a couple of times with automatic weather flash flood warnings, which interrupted her act and made her ask if we were in imminent danger (no, Palms is upslope so unlikely to have flooding. Caesars and Quad are right at low point on strip).
