RE: [vpFREE] Re: New Hacienda(Boulder Dam Lodge)

I appreciate the report of what is not there anymore but it would be nice to have some local go out there and report what they do have.  For instance, I was out there over a year ago, and I remember some 10-coin progressives (25-cents) that had games like 7-5 BP and 9-5 DDB if I remember correctly.  Are those gone?  Is there any 8-5 BP in the place, at any denom?  Is there $1 NSU, like at other Dotty's?  There's got to be something there worth reporting.  I am in California so don't expect me to run out there anytime soon but I would think we shouldn't have to wait months for someone local to give us a detailed report.  And what about players club info?  There's been no change reported at vpfree2.  Are they still operating like Hacienda or is it a carbon-copy of Dotty's?  I'm sure a lot of people would like to know.  Where are all the scouts?  C'mon, it ain't THAT far out there.

RE: [vpFREE] Re: New Hacienda(Boulder Dam Lodge)

I will answer my own question-A VP Waste land, at the 25 cents level. I visited last week.
Answer to Bob- everyone has different goals- as a visitor I am unable to reap any benefit in today's  VP envirornment unless it is full pay. No welfare checks or mailers for non-locals. However comp or very cheap rooms are still available for the asking if  one pushes 5K daily thru, even with quarters at 100+.

I haven't been there yet, but it is run by Dotty's --- and  Dotty's represents a significant part of my gambling --- but the good games (like NSU) are only for $1 and higher. (Slot club + promotions + mailers move the play very nicely into positive territory.)

If the scouts here are only looking at 25c machines because that's what they usually play, it's no wonder they think there are no good games there. Also if the scouts are only looking for over-100% games before including the slot club and other goodies, again it's no wonder they think there are no good games there.

[vpFREE] New Orleans Boardgame Cruise?

I am an avid player/collector of Boardgames. I'd love to coordinate a cruise out of New Orleans on our free Harrah's cruise certificates. I'm flexible, but would not mind doing one before the 2013 expires, and another later.

I own 400 games and could bring 15-20. I'd coordinate with the game each of you would bring. I've traveled with a group of 30 where we had a group of tables set up at same time each night where we sat next to different folks each dinner. Most showed up then and different groups formed for evening activities. We had several favorite spots on ship where we could find folks during the day. It worked well. Nice for those of us traveling alone, and those not excited about on board "activities."
