From the past. I scanned some of my old posts.  WOW;  time is flying.   I can't believe the old
names from the past springing  out at me, recalling  old memories.   Makes me feel like an old dog. 

Young or old should get a charge out of your own old posts. I got a charge remembering staying at Mirage:
CB WAS  GREAT...   Mirage had 9/6 JOB. I remember a bank of at least 10 flat tops.  CB was .66%.   On going home day, we would cash our CB.  A week of play would net me  8 - 9 - 10 hundred CB.  The icing on the cake, we got  CASH, not "free play".  Bounce back cash was good.  Shows and eats good  Management was happy to see us.  Back in early 2000s some casinos would refund air fares if u brought your flight receipt. 

Alas, times have changed.....

Hi all, 

Good ideas from our group.  A  drive to  to Laughlin Nevada was always a fun trip for me, in the past.
 When times and comps were good, a room could be bought for 
$7 or $8 at Harrahs,  Colorado Belle or others.    I seem to remember a sandy beach on the river at Harrahs.   I remember taking a site seeing boat tour on the river.  In the summer the water might not be deep enough for boat tour.  I remember eating in a nice restaurant at Harrahs. A Mexican band serenading diners walking from table to table.  Spend day or two  & back to Vegas.    At one time we could fly  to Laughlin  to airport across river in Arizona .  Never flew in myself, though.   

Things were smaller then and more fun, I believe.

When we were Gold at the Venetian/Palazzo there was a free "Grazie" shuttle that we used to and from McCarron.  We opted out of Venetian/Palazzo Gold about two years ago.  I do not know if the "Grazie" shuttle still exists.

[vpFREE] Any free shuttles from airport to casino anymore?

 

"BACK IN THE DAY"  I based out of Frontier.  Does anyone remember that far back?  Frontier had 2 vans that ran around the clock.  In front of the airport, we waited under a sign that was marked Frontier.  Usually had a short wait and van arrived, my cost a tip for driver.  That was a great service.  No cab, no have to rent car & 

no bull.....   


Is that still done by anyone?  If so who?
