blockquote, div.yahoo_quoted { margin-left: 0 !important; border-left:1px #715FFA solid !important; padding-left:1ex !important; background-color:white !important; } I wonder what Bob Dancer has to say about this since South Point sponsors his classes? If you are an excellent student, I guess you would have the same happen.  Agree, there are too many other places to play although the pool is shrinking.

Thanks for the heads-up Vegasvpplayer. This is good info to know about South Point. I play there on all their double point days but also toss in some play on their regular days. Looks like playing some on the regular days will keep me in their good graces.

Thanks Vegasvpplayer. This is good info to know.

While the wife and I play there on every double point day, we also play some on their regular single point days. Looks like playing on the single point days keeps us in their good graces.

Stopped by the other day and noticed they have finally turned off the auto-hold feature on machines with NSUD. On 7X point days it was like having 100.4% slot machines. On occasion they have had 11X and 13X. I was never there for that. If management saw people hitting the buttons too fast (especially not looking at the cards) they would make their accounts permanently ineligible for point multipliers. Seems like making people use skill is a better solution for game longevity. Unless people were changing the autohold which probably yields about 99.7% out of 99.73%, they couldn't have been making anything on those games anyway when you consider a base 0.1% cash back plus comps plus mailers.

The Sam's Town website now says they will have 7x points for video poker on Memorial Day.

Sams has touted how you can download the cash value of points you have earned on to the machine you are playing. This was treated the same as though you had put cash into the machine. NOW they have found another way to take advantage of people who do this. It is treated not as your cash but cash the casino gave you as free play. Thus, no points are earned as you play it through the machine, nor do you get points that increase the card score. If you want cash for your points you should go to the club and get the cash from them.

Seems like Sams is doing less and less for its customers who just want to play. Note how the only multiplier days in May are Sundays with 5x fpr both slots + VP. The mailer doesn't even show a multiplier for Memorial Day. Are they paying more attention to the customers of the Eastside Cannery, a block away, that they just purchased?

[vpFREE] Unconfirmed about the Palms

From LVA Today's News:
May 9, 2016 11:34 Stations to Buy Palms: It has not been officially announced, but Las Vegas Advisor has it on extremely good authority that the Palms, which was recently placed on the market, is being bought by Station Casinos in a move that would make good sense. The company previously purchased the original Fiesta (now Fiesta Rancho) from Palms founder George Maloof, which also adds a certain pleasing symmetry to the transaction. Stay tuned for updates!

The $1/$2/$5/$10/$25/$50 slant top video poker machines in high limits were converted to video real games this morning. I think that marks the last of the NSUD here.
