#9 said low pair on your list. Hold that over everything below it on the
list. If you have something higher in the list hold higher hand.

Yes. These are the KEEP hands. (It is implied that you throw away the cards not listed) Basically you can look at your hand and read the chart from top to bottom and stop when your hand matches something in the list and keep it. The example I gave with the 3 to a Royal and a high pair is a situation where you see your hand matches 2 conditions and you choose the highest. Do you have an example of
"all combinations and what to keep and throw away"?
For the "Discard Everything" - the only time you do that is when your hand did not match any of the previous 15.
There are 2,598,960 different "dealt" hands in 5 card poker for "all combinations". So a chart listing all of them would be a tad large to carry in your pocket. :-).
This chart categorizes the hands. It is not perfect ( does not account for penalty cards, and there are a few exceptions). But it gets real close and gives you the best choice from a statistical outcome point of view.
