[vpFREE] Bar Rescue and Bar 702

There's a short note in today's Las Vegas Advisor that those good pay tables are "temporarily" down at the Bar 702. It says there is a problem with a "former license holder" who still has interest in the bar. I don't know what the means and the article doesn't say much more than that. But I can't help but think of the 8 or so episodes of Bar Rescue that I have seen so far. Almost every one of them has an owner that is very resistant to change, even though it is the owner that has called for help. A couple of the owners have seemed almost completely idiotic. In fact, on one show, the one with the "Pirate Bar" they did a great makeover of the bar and got business humming again, and then two months later she went back to the pirate theme, and still lives in her parents' basement. You can lead a horse to water.....

Anyway, I don't know the whole story at the Bar 702 so I am not judging anything or anyone, but it just made me think of the episodes I've seen. I hope it all works out good for them. I wish Anthony Curtis would get involved with MORE bars and change their way of thinking. They should listen to him, he's a smart man.

Before the rule was instituted Sklansky would sit down in a game and look at cards until the big blind got to him. Then he would get up and look for an open seat at another table. When he found one he would again look at cards until the big blind got to him, then get up and look for a seat at another table, etc., etc. Sklansky never posted any blinds. LOL! When they got enough of his shenanigans they instituted the posting rule.

This reminds me of something I used to do about ten years ago when Paradise Poker was going strong. It seemed like every morning at about 7:00 a.m. they would re-start the software. There would be a notice that a re-set was coming and to finish up your hands. Quickly, all the tables would shut down. The re-set would last for a few minutes. Well, I would try to be ready when it started up again to jump into the #2 Seat at the $20-40 game. Whenever they did this the button would automatically be placed back in Seat #1, at every table. When it started up again, the button would move into Seat #2, and become the button. So I'd take all the free hands I could get, and then cashout and go back to my $2-4 game, lol, when the blinds came. They did that almost every morning for ages. Yes, I know, shame on me for angle shooting. I must have been inspired by Sklansky's story. lol

RE: [vpFREE] Earning 7* for 2014

My understanding is that in 2013 only it is 100,000 tier points excluding bonus tier points or 150,000 including bonus tier points.

It would then be my understanding that if all you earned as 2013 7* was 100K you get 7* for 2014 but not the additional free trip which requires 150K Tier. I know this sounds confusing because it is. It would be simpler if they just required all players whether you earned 7* in 2013 or not to get to 150K for all future years. Maybe that is the case. An answer would be appreciated.

RE: [vpFREE] South Point 2X Mondays

Here are the details: 10x penny reels, 5x all other reels and 2x VP points
on Mondays in April.

Subject: [vpFREE] South Point 2X Mondays

I caught signage at South Point the other day indicating 2X VP points on
Mondays in April. "Multiplier Mondays." Typical multipliers on reels as
well. On my way out and had no time to go get verification.

[vpFREE] Re: Which Casino Group is Best?

m h,

Thanks for letting me know about Mark's earlier post. Based upon what I've read, I'm going to play at NY-NY and get to at least Platinum there. I like most of all the fact that some of the MGMs have decent games at lower limits than the CET properties.
