That is very funny. Mgmt thinks the hush hush part is going to improve their bottom line. A few bucks in the short run. Won't effect knowledgeable players. Pissed off slot players and the ilk so not god for their long term business plan (what's dat?).

RE: [vpFREE] Hard Rock Las Vegas Downgrade

Just was at the HRH on April 5th for the Def Leppard concert. Was staying at the Tropicana for a slot tourney. Asked my host, Mike Ferruli for 3 tickets to the Friday night show and was given two in the front row and one in the 20th.
If they are cutting back on the points, you can still ask your host for a comp.
Two months ago I saw a couple a couple of vp players with almost 2000000 points on their cards.

As best I can understand, slot club return has been halved making the rate on video poker 0.05%. The conversion rate is now 1000 points = $1 versus the old 500 points = $1. It still took $2 coin in to earn a point on the video poker machine I played. This is being kept very hushed by management. They are not doubling old points automatically to match the new conversion rate. The player must sign in on a casino kiosk and touch an icon to double the old points. It appears your old point values will be halved if you unknowingly spend them before doubling on a kiosk.

I will note that the answer to Question 7 is now different since Nevada regulations state that any machine manufactured in Nevada must be legal in the jurisdiction where it is shipped to. Current Nevada regulations do not currently state that all video poker machines manufactured in Nevada must be a random deal.

[vpFREE] Re: Tunica Roadhouse

We were there Tuesday, Apr 16 and discovered the same. A local said that it apparently happened that morning or the previous night. We were there on a Signature Experience and looking forward to some good VP only to be disappointed. I did find one upright with 9/6 Jacks at the $5 level. Also, there was a penny machine (also an upright) with a 9/6 game with a progressive. Max play was 100 pennies and Royal was at $1068 at the time (vs. $800).

Local also said that the Millionaire drawings each weekend were getting much less added business than anticipated. Various staff reiterated that they have heard loud and clear the uproar from the locals about the changes to the pay schedules.
