[vpFREE] Re: Bob Dancer's LVA - 31 MAR 2015

All this arguing about whether ATsuited is a hold in 9-6 JOB? I truly saw the worst vp player in the world the other day. He looked like a bum off the street (typical gambler). He puts in his card, lo and behold this guy is 7stars. He checks out all the games on this IGT. After much deliberation he settles in on 9-5 JOB. Not the worst game on this machine but not the best. Puts in some money and bets 1 coin at a time. He is by far the slowest player I have ever seen playing video poker. How in the world did this player ever make 7stars? I will tell you how - a hand comes up of 10-8-7-5-3 of mixed suits with no 3CSF. He goes into tank mode for about 2 minutes. He finally draws 1 card to 10-8-7-5. He comits vp suicide, he draws to a hand that must end up a loser (there are 6 such "draws" on this hand including the no card draw). My guess - some high up suit must have seen his plays in the past and felt this guy is so valuable that we can't have his action go elsewhere and made him 7stars. The problem is this guy plays so slow that he rates to lose "only" about $5 per hour. Any other story from anyone out there?

To all of you cretins that shut down machines - that's not the right thing to do and I NEVER shut down any machine. I even tell others not to shut down machines and let others play. If you need to put in a certain amount of action - get the torture over with and do it all in one play and keep the assembly line moving. Thank You.

How about the couples that arrive, play a minute on each of two machines and proceed to shut them down for 6+ hrs. These are the ones who dearly make me wish karma really does play out ...

I see machines shut down for guest for the entire weekend with the player only playing the machine an hour or two each day. In Tahoe last year same thing for one of the few VP machines I liked.

vp-wiz said : I might have negotiated a share

If only that would become SOP.

How many times have we seen machines being shut down for a lunch or dinner break, leaving the machine completely unused, so that (and I was actually told this) "someone else might get my Royal Flush while I was eating".

Re: RE: [vpFREE] Re: Press Release: IGT Offers First-Ever Video Poker Progressive Interstate Link

I see that my question is going to run tomorrow (Saturday) on the LVA about what is going to happen to the tons of unhit progressives at the Riviera.

Capped progressives - reminds me of the Gold Coast. When you enter from the valet parking on the east side of the casino, there is a bank of 3 $.25 slot machines that have stood at $999,999.99 for at least the last 5-7 yeras.

[vpFREE] Re: 2015 Seven Stars Signature Events

I trust CZR won't be so short-sighted as to omit FSP from this year's offers. Failing to provide some cushion against anticipated losses is an effective invitation to "0" trip.

Re expected machine contention during the Tahoe event ... a key reason I avoided this event last year. Even at the best of times, machine access can be frustrating.

I was playing at Tahoe this Wednesday, in the evening, where I played a 5-hr session on a machine. In the middle of the session, another player clearly wanted the machine ... he sat down at an adjacent bank, swiveled his chair so he was directly facing me, and propped his legs up on the adjacent chair -- taking roost for 40-minutes before he gave up.

This was the most obnoxious behavior I've witnessed in some time (not to mention the fact that he deterred me from taking a rest break, during which he might have secured the machine -- I don't shut machines down, other than in exceptional circumstances) In fact, had he merely politely approached me, I might have negotiated a share; but there was no way I was going to suggest such an arrangement to this freak. (Apologies if the subject reads this, but you screwed the pooch).

I'm just hoping. As Harry stated, there were offers last year that were individualized (I believe) based on your play, etc. As I recall, the offers came in the form of an email and mine included an airfare component and a free play component. As I am basically a Seven Stars who stops at 150,000 TCs, my offers last year were not particularly enticing.

I may end up cancelling my Tahoe Event and go there at another time when I am not a small fish in a small pond with a lot of big fish.

Re: [vpFREE] Wisconsin W2G For Illinois Resident

Thanks Howard. I figured it would be you to answer this one. I have the same experience with Indiana. I assumed you would get hit with the 6% from Wisconsin (and you thought Illinois was bad) and then be able to claim a credit for Illinois, but I heard some conflicting information and wanted some clarification.
Note: I am not a CPA, but I can balance a checkbook... with the assistance of software.
