Probably random like a slot machine. Most people will get minimum amounts, the odd person will get lucky.

Perhaps it IS just random – most reported getting $10, but one person did get $750.  Couldn't see any pattern that game played or win/los figure was a factor.

If they wanted the promo to continue to drive play all month they would have specified a minimum in the rules – with higher levels of play getting higher minimums.  Most people aren't going to drive across town to put in big play and then drive again on Saturday and know they might get such a small amount.

Their September Mystery Free Play Promotion is a mystery to me.  3 of us played the max of 10k on September 1.  On Saturday, collecting the mystery free play two of us got $10!! One got $60.  Very tricky promotion.  No minimum was ever given – just a range of maximums, going up depending on how many points you earned.  Silly me – I thought the minimum for the top level might be something at least like $25.  I wonder what the minimum was for people who only played for the lowest level – $1.98????

Wonder if the minimum depended on whether you played "good" or "bad" games???  Of course the 3 of us played the best games.  Would be interested in hearing what and how much others played and how much they got.

[vpFREE] re Bob Dancer's column -- folded entries

I was at a Gold Coast drawing one time and a ordain folded my entries. No rule was posted against it. The drawing took place, the drawing guy took out a folded entry (no way to day for sure if it was mine or not, it did look like it). He crumpled it up, tossed it away and said "no folded entries allowed." I complained, but he said "that's our rule." Argh! It was his rule but not posted or mentioned.

RE: [vpFREE] Re: Baltimore Host

The Horseshoe Baltimore does not have their own hotel.

The Caesars.com webpage for Baltimore lists numerous partner hotels.

My limited experience is that they can be tight with any discretionary comps and espect you to deplete any Reward Credits in your account before they will even consider a discretionary comp.

First of all, would like to know if the Baltimore casino has its own hotel, or if they "partner" with nearby city hotels (as some locations do).  Appreciate any information on that topic as I get to the DC area once or twice a year and would extend my trip to stay in Baltimore if worthwhile.

Secondly, with regard to getting comped rooms, my experience is same as yours -- I'm Diamond (early in the year most every year as long as they've had diamond, occasionally qualifying mid-year instead), but when I go to a property where I haven't played before, or haven't played "recently" (usually their definition is the last six months, sometimes even less), I can't get comped.  The routine is usually full rate or sometimes a somewhat reduced rate, and contact them when I'm ready to leave to see if I THEN have qualified for any level of comp based on my play that trip.

If it's a property where I've played more regularly or more recently, I get better treatment (depending on my play, of course), but being Diamond is of no value whatsoever to me when at a new property, or one where I haven't played for several months, other than access to the Diamond lounge and shorter lines.

I'm nowhere close to Seven Star and won't try to make it, but I do understand Seven Star to have much better treatment, deservedly so.

I'm a Diamond player 27,000 points so far this year, living in Buffalo, NY
I don't think I'm doing to bad however when I called my Vegas host and Baltimore
directly I could not get a comped Friday or Saturday night right thru the remainder
of this year.

I'n  sure you will being a 7star player but I would like to know if you get whatever nights
you want at one of their partnering Hotels.
